As a younger Conservative, you would think that most here would feel proud to see and hear a new generation of Conservatives picking up the baton and ready to do battle! 75% of what I see and hear on FR is so overwhelmingly negative about anything & everything ..... except Trump & he can do no wrong. Unfortunately, most here don’t care about who comes after & are we passing our morals & philosophy to future generations. I believe that most of the folks here will end up winning the Democrats the next several elections because on some level I think many here get off on losing & painting themselves as a victim class. It’s started occurring to me that many of the same right-of-center people who complain about blacks, gays & other minority groups & their victimization-chic personal & identity politics- are the very same people whining & bitching & wallowing about what victims they are. I’ve voted for Trump twice & I’d vote for him again- but I’m thinking longer term than one guy! Quit being pathetic!!! 🙄😑🤨😵💫😵

At least Vivek is honest about what he believes when it isn’t popular. I’d be more worried about the decisions of an Indian based on their caste than on their religious beliefs.

I agree with you. There is a lot of negativity on Free Republic.
Undoubtedly some of that has to do with how Republicans have not done well in elections in 2020 and 2022. But then a lot of people here have an attitude of ,what’s the use of voting, it’s just going to be rigged anyway and tell us elections are not important.
And some people here say they would rather vote for a Democrat, than vote for a Republican who is not purely conservative enough. That’s a major issue here that most Republicans are considered to be RINOs.
Part of the pessimism may be that the people of Free Republic are more conservative than your average Republican,
It is easier to criticize somebody or criticize things going on in this country, than it is to talk about what we can do to change things. Maybe that’s part of what we see on this site.

Also, the people of FR are far far more into “politics” then the average voter even the average Republican or even conservative. I see this all the time when I’ve gone out on the political hustings for state & local candidates and ballot initiatives.
