True most people I know under 40 and more than a few between 40-50 have no deep seated interest in cars. They like living in walkable or bikable areas and Uber if they need to go somewhere.
It’s not about getting people into EVs. It’s about getting people out of their own cars (EVs, too) eventually. EVs are just the “hot new thing” they think will get folks out of their ICEs. Public transportation is supposed get people out of their expensive, unreliable, and short-range EVs.
