Your statement is unjustifiable.
You shouldn’t judge others by your own motivations.
Trump is not protecting abortion nor does he make policy to be liked. If he did he wouldn’t be being targeted by the left, DOJ, special interests & deep state as he is. Try and see the forest instead of the blade of grass that you think proves some point.

That was not enough to save red wave during last midterms.
Young women voted in much higher numbers after hearing about abortion restrictions such as proposed by senator Graham.

Abortion is the winningest issue for Democrats.
Republicans need to pay attention to votes unless they want to be permanent minority party.

DeSantis is just using it as something to throw at Trump.

American women will turn out to defeat red waves until Republicans get their heads out of dark places. #1 issue for young women is abortion rights.

A fetus less than 3 months has never lived out of mother’s womb. It is part of her body same as arms & legs. It is better for every potential life to live. But until Young women change, abortion is most winning issue for Democrats.

Except abortion is a meaningless issue now at the federal level, so it doesn’t matter in the Presidential race, at least not for Republicans.

“We should not have a primary at all! Just coronate Trump and be done with it!”

When one guy is basically running as an incumbent with zero chance of losing the nomination, why not?

I don’t see a bunch of Democrats out there sniping and stabbing Biden in the back, because they know he has the nomination wrapped up and that would only hurt their chances in the general.

Bull

The Deep State is back in the White House like it was with Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama

The Deep state finally had a war on its hands with Trump..

That’s why they spied on him after he announced in 2015, and every day since.

The Deep State was a conspiracy theory before Trump..

Now it isn’t.

It’s also not an R vs D thing anymore either..

The R team has a light being shined on it, too..

So people are awake. Can’t have a mandate to obliterate the Deep state without destroying the conspiracy there is no Deep State..

That mission has been accomplished..

Thanks to Trump and the Deep State that made Trump public enemy number one in 2015..

If Ron really believes this, why didn't he include a legal penalty for both the woman and the doctor breaking the six week ban or failing to meet the hurdles on exceptions for rape, incest and health of the woman? Seems a good place for manslaughter charges.

Had Trump said it was terrible for THOSE reasons, I’d agree. But his implication was that it was “terrible” because it was too harsh or too much. And that’s what I take issue with.

I’m not “in” on DeSantis for President. But calling his signing “terrible” because they’re too strict is wrong.

“Maybe some of these DeSantis-bots might explain that to us.”

I’m not a “DeSantis-bot”, but... what I think he’s trying to say here is that it is dangerous to make deals with the Democrats (ie like making deals with the devil). I think calling it a “sell out” is a bit too much and over the top politicizing what Trump said.

What Ron fails to concede is... that he, too, would be forced into a position of “”negotiating with the devil/Democrats”” if he were to win the presidency. It’s disingenuous or delusional to think otherwise. Hell, just negotiating with the RINOs in Congress as President equates to the same damned thing. And as president, that would be an ongoing process.

I think both Trump and DeSantis are engaging in hyperbole during this campaign season. Not exactly a first or unheard of in the game of politics. Let’s give them both a break.

DeSantis is just using it as something to throw at Trump.

Trump called his signing at a STATE level “terrible”. He could have deferred state business as state business and then talked about whatever roles remain federally. But he couldn’t help himself. It is Trump using it as something to throw at DeSantis.

Trump could have taken credit for his nomination and appointment of justices that now actually ALLOW citizens, legislators, and governors of a state to make these determinations.

I’d have been in full support of that. But he can’t and he won’t. It’s not politically convenient at this point in the electoral process.

Yet it is deSantis SAYING “Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis says Donald Trump’s recent statements on the abortion issue show the former president’s “values” are out of step with Iowa GOP voters”.

The title of the thread is titled DeSantis SAYS Trump’s abortion remarks show ‘the danger’ in reelecting him”

Yes! We should not have a primary at all! Just coronate Trump and be done with it!

Don't be silly! A coronation is too dramatic. We need to reverse the 2020 election that was stolen from me and everyone who voted for Trump.

Once again what’s the difference between Ronnie’s 6 Week Abortion Law
and 15 Weeks Trump talked about?
I noticed you dodged answering my question.

Trump has learned one thing with The Meatball. Never ever support or go out on a limb for a guy who is losing to a crack head homo.

There has to be a reason he is losing. It isn’t his policies, it is him . Now we can see it.

Progress toward our goal of zero abortions.

Clearly you do not share that goal since you do not care if we make progress towards it or away from it.

You don't care if Trump re-federalizes the abortion issue so future Congresses can do whatever they want.

You just love your Trump and he can do no wrong.

Principles be damned

Heaven forbid Trump would do something like get Roe v Wade overturned.

Oh wait, he did that.

Yes Trump differs from GOPe in that he actually did something and will again.

I have not forgotten how the GOPe did not defund Planned Parenthood in 2017.
