You should take Churchill out of your tagline, because he would agree with me that you are wrong.
Gaetz two weeks ago resembled Churchill if no one else.
Both beat the drum to restore sanity in recognizing a perilous and growing threat to their respective countries, and both stood tall, almost alone, against an avalache of opposition and ridicule.
Now there is real cognizance on the part of the GOP that the mad spending and debt accumulation must end. The border must be sealed. Preserving the USA must be our first priority; nothing else must come close for the foreseeable future.
The establishment must be unseated, and sanity, austerity, and preparation for a long struggle must begin, if we are to save our country, as Churchill ultimately led his people to save the UK.

It's not a matter of whether I agree with McCarthy or not, nearly as much as if a question of what happens if we remove him with absolutely no (meaning NO) plans on what to do next.
There is a reason, my good FRiend, why every single Dem voted for Madman Gaetz's little scheme. This hurt us and helps them.

Churchill, who graduated Sandhurst and was a VETERAN of several military campaigns, was strong, but knew well to think ahead, and to not give the opposing party power just to have an indignant fit.
Churchill was adept at putting together coalitions of members, not all of whom agreed.
Churchill's political opponents never took easy advantage of him, and never had reason to laugh at him while doing so.

There is no plan, and if the foolish, childish, petulant Mister Gaetz had one, we would have learned it.
Sadly, the Dems own us at the moment, and we have Mister Gaetz (and his 208 house Dem fellow travelers) to thank.

He got rid of the man who failed to bring back regular order, so yes he did. I didn’t care one way or the other about McCarthy until I found out only 7 of the required appropriations bills were ready. It was McCarthys responsibility to see to it the committees completed their work before adjourning for the summer. He didn’t do that. The result is these CRs that continue to dig the grave of America while the politicians sit around and count their kickbacks.
Gaetz did fine as did those who agreed with him.
Not having a speaker yet is not the end of the world. They will eventually get one and then maybe congress can get an approval rating above pond scum.
How many times did Churchill get the House of Commons to vote out a Prime Minister of his own party? None.
