An Israeli ship named “Galaxy Leader” has reportedly been hijacked by Yemen’s Houthi militia in the Red Sea.
The ship had 22 people on board, according to reports. Israeli sources said that the Houthis seized a vessel partially owned by Israel in the Red Sea. No Israeli nationals were on board the ship, according to the sources.
Earlier on Sunday, Yahya Sarea, a spokesman for the Iran-backed Houthis, said that the group would target all ships owned or operated by Israeli companies or carrying the Israeli flag, according to the group’s Telegram channel.

I am guessing they are drawing straws between SEALs and the SAS in Djibouti to see who takes the ship back.

Israel made a serious mistake by not letting their border civilians carry arms. Looks like their civilian ships are sailing under that same unwise policy.
As Governor Dinwiddie noted earlier, a single ship’s machine gun would have made a bit of difference in the outcome here.
They're welcome to try, but these are the same people who couldn't secure their own border with Gaza. I wouldn't wager too much on a favorable outcome for them off the coast of Yemen.
Seems to be some confusion on the ownership. Lloyd’s List Intel is reporting it is indeed owned by an Israeli company. They are typically a pretty reliable source for shipping info.

The Houthis are Shia Muslims (over 60% believe America is an immoral Satanic country).

lloyds is usually the definitive source. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. My guess is a lot of Houthis are going to be driving new ‘Benzes next week. At least for a few days.
