Sen. John Thune (R-SD) and other pro-establishment Republican senators want former President Donald Trump to butt out of their back-room negotiations with pro-migration Democrats.
“It’s not helpful,” Thune, who is the top deputy to Republican leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), told CNN. “There are a number of pieces in there that are good, conservative border policies that we’ve been trying to get done for years,” he told reporters.
“There are some folks without question that don’t want to get any solution to a problem because they think that might help the other side,” retiring Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) told CNN. “You think Donald Trump has influence on politics? Yeah,” said Romney, who has consistently supported bills that would allow foreign workers to take jobs and homes that Americans need.

The Republicans use “border security” as chaff to cover for the fact that whatever the big donors want in terms of migration into this country for tech jobs and so on will be allowed in the end.
Don’t be a Fox News-Newsmax Sucker in other words.
there are no talks. just gtfo.
AKA
Sen. John Thune (R-SD) and other RINO senators
To the most dishonorable John Thune, respectfully, please take a flying leap at a rolling doughnut.
Try putting America and your constituents first ok?!
I didn’t know Thune could actually speak.
Before now, he’s only been a compliant, quiet backdrop when Mitch is speaking to the press.
South Dakota made a mistake not electing the Libertarian in 2022. Thune and his friends are evidence that the term of a U.S. senator needs to be reduced to four years. These people hate a secure border and coddle invaders. Treason comes to mind.
Thune needs to buy a van and go down and start picking the freeloaders up and dropping them off in Texas for Uncle Joe the Pedo.
Why should it matter what President Trump says right now.
He’s not in office.
Flooding Texas with Mexicans doesn’t mean Texas has gone blue. It means the RATS flooded Texas with foreigner freeloaders to increase their voter base.
Thune is up in ‘28 and will be in office in ‘2029. It is what it is.
The things he says are not that damaging as they just don’t help us. It might get a democrat in a purple state ton think we’re not all racists but that’s about all. He started out as a 100% conservative and now his lifetime ACU rating is 84%. Won’t get any better.
I don’t like it but there are bigger fish to fry throughout the country so we should just put up with his disappointing girlie-man antics. He’s not as bad as Linda.
See my tagline:
Abbott needs to send a 767 load of ‘migrants’ to SD.
What certainly is NOT helpful is calling these invading third world slags ‘migrants’. Migrant actually means going somewhere for a time and then leaving for somewhere else (or back to the start) at some other time. These slags aren’t ‘going home or elsewhere’ after they get here.
I am reminded of the scene in “Braveheart” where the English army lines up, and the Scottish army lines up, and by golly it sure looks like there’s going to be a fight.
But one of the Scottish soldiers sees the Scottish lords ride out to the middle of the field and he grumbles, “They’re going to make a deal. They will be paid and we will be sent home.”
Then William Wallace suddenly appears, and it is very clear that all he wants to do is fight, and kill Englishmen. The Scottish lords get upset — “We haven’t made our deal yet!!”
We really don’t need anymore “TALKS” . Talks caused this scorched earth invasion of freeloading foreigners on our homes. It’s time for some asskicking. Dropkick them back across the river.
Thune, McConnell et al are de facto members of the Chinese Communist Party.
They should all be charged with treason.
THAT was an excellent analogy!
McConnell will be dead soon and we need to make sure Thune is defeated in his next election.
Don’t forget the dialogue of the English, where one jokes to the other about having their butts kissed.
