On Friday’s “CNN News Central,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) stated that “the Democrats let” the crisis at the border happen and urged President Joe Biden to declare a national emergency on the border if Congress can’t pass legislation to fix the problem.
Manchin said, “It’s the most dangerous thing we have, is the border security right now and a lapse of border security. So, we can fix that. But when you have former President Trump saying, oh, no, we can’t do that, because let’s just go ahead and blame the Democrats. Well, the Democrats let this happen. But it’s time to fix it. So, we can fix this working together. But not to fix it because of politics, it’s not who we are as a country. It’s not what our purpose in Washington is all about.”

While true, but keep in mind that West Virginia voted 70-30 for Trump in 2020, so there are a hell of a lot of Trump voters there who turn around and vote for Manchin.
As to Manchin, he is a Democrat, so WHAT THE HELL are people here expecting him to do - join Trump at a MAGA Rally or something?
They, there is not HE when it comes to Faux Biden. Are looking to codify 5K per day and hand out citizenship papers to the 50 million here already. It was near 25 million when GHW Bush was President.

What part of ‘border crisis’ does butt boy Manchin not get?
Trump TRIED, and to a significant degree, he DID fix it. He did it through executive orders and executive branch policies like "Remain in Mexico", because Congress REFUSED to pass legislation to fix it. Biden reversed Trump's policies and disregards the law. Manchin claiming "Trump didn't fix the border so he could blame Democrats" is a lie. He is blaming his own failures on Trump.
Manchin just destroyed any credibility he imagined he had.
Nothing Trump says prevents Joe Biden from instructing DHS to actually control the borders. Or firing the clowns Biden appointed to NOT enforce the law.
Before Biden, the border was at least mch more under control than it is now. No legislation is needed — none whatsoever — to go back to Trump’s successful policy. Pretending Congress is stopping Biden from doing his job is total BS.
