Brietbart ^ | 3-3-24 | THOMAS D. WILLIAMS, PH.D.

Pope Francis said Sunday that military disarmament is not optional but constitutes a “moral obligation” for all nations.

Following his weekly Angelus address in Saint Peter’s Square, the pontiff recalled that March 5 marks the second International Day for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Awareness.

“How many resources are wasted on military expenditure, which, because of the current situation, sadly continues to increase!” he told the estimated 20,000 tourists and pilgrims gathered in the square.

Neville Chamberlain felt that way, and Hitler ran roughshod all over Europe until Winston Churchill came into power.

Maaaaan, that was EXACTLY what I w as going to post up. Let the other side disarm, if anyone is going to. We have had nuclear weapons since 1945, and used them once, to save lives. As for ANY other level of disarmament; NO.

This pope seems to be a communist, not a man of God.

IMHO

The guy does not admit that bad dictatorial rulers will always pose a threat to peace, and they’ll never embrace “universal disarmament, which means the pretense of “universal disarmament” will always leave people at the mercy of the worse rulers on the planet.

Humans and human endeavors will not bring Christ’s Peace to the world, unfortunately, and scripture itself warns us of that. So why do some Christian leaders pretend differently, as if their pronouncements will pacify the world, WITHOUT Christ.

Pope Francis has never had a strong tether to reality.
Doesn’t look like he’s got one yet.

Oh heavens no. Protection and security for me, but not for thee. That’s this fake pope’s stance. Typical leftist, IOW.

Well, you Pope-ness...in a truly peaceful, brotherly-love kinda world, your argument may hold some water.
BUT, today? There are far too many crazies, loons, and criminals to make it possible to stand down whole militaries and disarm an entire population.
Stop back when the global political order has settled down...

I’m sorry...but...how am I wrong?
If the world changes into something much more spriritual and peaceful, then His Popeness’ wish maybe viable.
Until then? Nope...

Have a nice day, though...

Tell that phony dictator of that corrupt religious cult to tear down the walls around his castle. And to fire all his armed guards. Pope A Dopes. They’re all the same.
