The media coverage of polls that show President Biden lagging behind former President Trump appears to be getting under the president’s skin.
While campaigning around the country, Biden has often complained to rooms full of donors about the coverage of polls, including how often the press focuses on only on low survey numbers while ignoring more favorable ones.
The White House and the Biden campaign maintain that it’s too far out from Election Day to rely on polls, but the president has clearly shown he’s annoyed with how the press has handled surveys of voters.

it is always a mistake to focus on any ONE poll. I don’t care if it is a good one or a bad one for your candidate. Always look at the average of ALL polls to get the real picture.
And when you look at the average of ALL polls, Biden has been behind Trump nationally by about 2 points since October or so. And remember Biden need to be AHEAD by 2 to win (because of the way the electoral college breaks down)
Biden was LEADING by 5-6 at the same time before his last matchup with Trump, which puts him 7 or so points behind where he was before against the same opponent.
They’ll comply now that they know. They have their marching orders.
Biden: I was told by my handlers the polls would all show me well ahead by now. They promised me the fake numbers would be baked in. I’m gonna break some heads if this doesn’t improve.
