Israel has decided to hit Iran “clearly and forcefully” and is already preparing its warplanes to carry out the strike, according to a report on Monday.
The reported decision comes after two war cabinet meetings in which leaders of the Jewish nation debated how to respond to Saturday’s barrage of 350 suicide drones and missiles.
Israel’s Channel 12 news carried the report — which was widely picked up in local media.
Channel 12 said the country’s air force — which includes US-made F-16, F-15 and F-35 fighter jets — is already gearing up to deliver a retaliatory counter-strike against the rogue Islamic nation, though no timeline was provided.
According to the report, the strike will be intended as a message that Israel “will not allow an attack of that magnitude against it to pass without a reaction.”

How long is the flight time from Israel to Iran? I expect we’ll get some indications that the attacks have started through various real time Internet sources. Last time Jordan closed their airspace right at the beginning of Iran’s launches.
To drive from Jerusalem to Teheran - 1,856 km ~ 1153 miles
roughly half the width of the USA(?) (I was thinking 2400 miles roughly but haven’t looked in awhile)
Air distances shorter, of course.
Still, you’re talking maybe around 2300 miles for R/T plus TOT
Even with conformal fuel tanks that’s a stretch without aerial refueling (will the Saudis allow it?)
Phone says USA 2,897 miles wide - probably at its widest distance(?)
Qom, BTW is the site of the Jamkaran Mosque
There’s a well (think water well) behind the Jamkaran Mosque
The Mahdi is at the bottom of the well (LOL)
The faithful drop notes down the well to the Mahdi (not joking)
How the Mahdi reads those notes that far down .... ?
Maybe he’s got a pile of those cheap flashlights from Harbor Freight
Good point.
1. Kill enough civilians so that the Iran population learns that attacking Israel is unhealthy. They may quit their "Death to Israel" chants with their leaders and their children.
2. Damage the missile/rocket manufacturing fascilities in Iran.
3. Damage Iran's oil export ports. Iran has made a lot of money from them lately. And the price of oil is going up.
4. Damage Iran's ability to close off the Hormuz Strait that Iran uses to leverage against other Muslim nations that need it. (Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and to some extent Saudi Arabia) This would be a good way to strengthen the Abraham Accords.
The Israel of yesterday would have responded within hours of Iran’s attack taking out the Iranian nuclear facility.
Also, the IDF of yesteryear would have completely eliminated Hamas by now. They have lost their gusto.
Biden has much too much influence on the Israeli hierarchy.
“If Israel divulges what they are planning on doing, I am quite sure they have thought it out quite though roughly as to how come and why.”
With Israel’s top notch miitary intellignce, perhaps by making it known, they will be watching what Iran does and how with regard to its defenses.
“The Mahdi is at the bottom of the well (LOL)”
So can we go potty on the mahdi.... at the bottom of the well? Maybe he’d want to know what be happenin up here and decide to finally com’on up?
I probably wouldn’t recommend that
I imagine Instant Jihad would upon you
😆
I don't think that's a good idea.
Many Iranians hate the Mullahs and hate the fact that Iran is an Islamic republic. They like the Western ways.
I think Israel should strike the Mullahs directly and weaken their hold on the Iranian people.

“Are they hoping that US troops will do it for them like we always ?”
When exactly did American troops do that?

Unlike WW1 before that, and Franco-Prussian war before that, Germany for once had war brought to THEIR land and kill a lot of THEIR people. Next thing you know, THEIR people quit allowing THEIR leaders stir them up for yet another war. IMHO that's why Germany quit starting wars.
Iran hasn't had that educational experience.
Once the Germans were all warlike and mean
But that couldn't happen again
We taught them a lesson in 1918
And they've hardly bothered us since then.

Sink Kharg Island.
America has had several opportunities to support the Iranian people when they were mounting challenges to the Mullahs and we refused to do so. One memorable one was under Obama IIRC.
Instead of killing civilians, given that the Mullahs won't care, I think we should weaken the Mullahs' hold on the people and encourage the people to kick the Mullahs out. One good way to weaken the Mullahs' hold on the Iranian people is for Israel to attack the Mullahs directly.
As an aside, Israel has many spies among the Iranian population.
camel diddlers make a big deal out of becoming corpses as long as their bunch sees them as martyrs. A dead body is a dead body, you want to call your corpse a martyr then power to you. Strange bunch.
