Nothing follows
Note the words "I WONDER" and "Hillary." My words said nothing about LIBERALS bashing Ms. Olsen or her family. I was wondering specifically about what the evil Hildabeast might be thinking -- not any other liberals. Maybe you should actually read the words carefully before jumping to conclusions by generalizing my words beyond their intent.
That being said I bet that some of the posters are as incensed as I am buy the liberal blather on TV questioning President Bush's location and intelligence. It just grates on me that they get away with it and from there I think you get some of the nasty comments. Frustration
Saving bandwidth: Bin-Laden (spit) miscalculated. He overstepped severely. He has galvanized the formerly fat, dumb and happy, and further galvanized those us of us who have been conscious and free.
Sad, sad bump for others to see this thread.

God, that poor woman.
God, that poor, poor woman.
When Barbara came to Atlanta to speak before a Federalist Society luncheon, I was thrilled to be able to attend. Before the luncheon started, I wanted to primp just a bit, and dashed to the ladies room where.....the prettiest lady you ever saw was already there...Barbara Olson...and not the least bit embarrassed to have me gushing over her in the loo. She was so sweet, even made me believe she really had read some of my FR comments, and everytime afterward when we corresponded, I found out how truely gracious she was.
One of conservatism's most intelligent voices has been silenced, but I'm a better woman for having read, listened to, and learned from, Barbara Olson. She sat so proudly behind her husband at his confirmation hearing. My heart is broken for Ted Olson, and all who loved Barbara.
Alas, the same could not be said of the crew.
R.I.P.
I'm signing off for a while ... I'm not thinking straight.
My profound sadness as well upon hearing about Ms. Olsen. She was a beautiful, intelligent and righteous lady. She'll be missed dearly.
Take it easy SLIM.
I hope he takes some consolation from this in his time of grief.
"Passenger phoned husband moments before Pentagon crash
A passenger managed to reach her husband on her mobile phone moments before American Airlines flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.
Barbara Olson, a commentator for CNN and wife of US Solicitor General Theodore Olson, was one of 58 passengers on the Boeing 757. They had been herded to the back of the plane along with the four flight attendants and two pilots. In two brief and furtive conversations with her husband, Olson, 46, gave a few details about the plane's hijackers, CNN reported.
She mentioned that there was more than one, but the only weapons she described were knives and cardboard cutters, the network said. "What do I tell the pilot to do?" a frightened Olson pleaded.
Theodore Olson was able to alert the Justice Department's command centre of the hijacking in progress, but it was too late to help his wife and the other people aboard the plane. They were all killed when the airliner smashed into the Pentagon."

The conversation between Barbara and Ted, haunting and heartbreaking as it is, may be a clue as to what happened on that separate, particular flight. It sounds like the terrorists simply commodeered Barbara's plane using fairly crude and defensable weapons, killing no crew in the process, and probably assuring the passengers that they were just taking the plane to a safe location. If the passengers knew they were going to die - and take 10,000 other Americans with them - they certainly would have stormed the cockpit against knives and boxcutters. I would have. Grab a seat cushion and go for it. I'm a dead man anyway, so there's nothing to lose, and everything to gain, if the cockroaches can be overpowered and the crew reinstated.
I'm thinking that someone on that Newark-based flight got word (via news pager or cell phone) of the first three suicide crashes, figured out the score, and perhaps stormed the cabin to the ultimate tragic end. A crash in barren woods outside Pittsburgh was certainly not planned by the scumdogs ... either passengers fought for their lives and those of other innocents, or the military shot that plane down before it could reach its intended destination. I suspect there was some heroism on that flight we will never know about, and it probably saved thousands of people in the process.
It's all conjecture on my part, and whatever the circumstances of that flight, this has been a day of unimaginable outrage and evil. I believe in the righteousness of vengence, and more importantly .... that's something the Muslims understand intimately. They are waiting for the other shoe to fall, and if we show hesitation or weakness to drop that shoe, our lives and personal liberties will be under seige for the rest of whatever becomes of our nation's future. A defensive bunker mentality based on fear means one thing - a police state. That's unacceptable. Killing those who wish to kill us - that an unfortunate, but acceptable, alternative.
I know the feeling...I've just been sitting here watching FoxNewsChannel and dismally failing to grasp the enormity of today's events. I mean, how can we even fathom how the folks in NYC are coping? And usually we'd be in mourning over the needless loss of life of any single airliner going down in a day...but four?! To say nothing of the symbol of our National Security--the Pentagon--being violated in such a dastardly way.
Just thirteen hours ago I was humpin' away at the office trying to get some projects moving along...now we're talking about Declaring War on Bin Laden and his fanatic followers. I couldn't help but give the wife and kids an extra long hug tonight...I pray for the families that cannot do the same for their loved ones.
"Take it easy..."
You too, buddy...hopefully tomorrow will be brighter.
