What's the rush, anyway? Let's don't be in such a hurry that we get a lot of our people killed, disrupt our own continental security and open ourselves up to an invasion while rushing out to show that we're still bigger and meaner than anyone else. That's a pretty good prescription for falling on our faces.

Who said anything about rushing?   We will take the necessary time to plan and execute operations against defined enemies who need to be attacked with extreme prejudice.

Why shouldn't we threaten with all we have?   The entire function of war is to make your enemy surrender through not only physical force but through psychologial, economic, political, and diplomatic pressure. Threatening to use nukes happen to cover several of these areas, psycological, diplomatic, political for those who didn't figure that out on their own, and can speed the process of surrender with less bloodshed.

Americans are naive about Islam partly due to the different face of Islam presented here and Americans becoming Moslems. CHINA WELCOMES GASPROM'S PARTICIPATION IN TENDER

Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation welcomes the possible joint participation of Russia's Gasprom company and the international company Shell in a joint tender for the construction of Chinese gas pipeline East-West, said Tuesday a representative of the Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation Zhang Xin.

According to Mr. Xin, joint participation of Gasprom and Shell in the tender will give the Russian company a better chance of winning. The Russian Trade Mission in China said that the results of the tender would be finalized not earlier than October 2001.

Mr. Xin also said that in the near future the president of the Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation would give to the head of Gasprom an official reply to the proposal on joint participation in the project of the two companies. According to Mr. Xin, the Chinese company is interested in Gasprom's proposals about joint development of the Chinese gas industry.

Mr. Xin welcomed the decision by the Russian side to appoint Gasprom the coordinator of all Chinese projects in Russia

We know our enemy's but what good does it do us? We're now paying the enemy's more money since they left the White House. Penthouses for office space and FBI protection.
