All those trashing Israel like their some right-wing evil state should realize their probably as liberal as our most liberal areas in the US - think NYC, Massachusetts, Maryland. Surround NYC, Mass, or Maryland with terrorists who set off bombs in their malls, shoot sniper fire into their neighborhoods, and see how peace-loving these liberals become.

I'm not too up on the Zionist movement of the late 1800's. But it seems to me that there are (obviously) religious basics going on here. Whether you (or anyone) is religious or not, in the Bible, the Lord God gave to His people a certain amount of land. Moses led them to it. This is the land that they believe is rightfully theirs (the Israelites). However, the Arabs (Palestinians) do not ascribe to that book. Therefore, to them it's a matter of having their land taken away. To the Israelis, it's a matter of occupying the land the Lord gave them.

From this can emerge a great bibical discussion, but I do not want to be the one to lead it (maybe this was addressed in one of those "Neverending" threads). I just think that it should be factored in when discussing the origins of this fighting.

This is the land that they believe is rightfully theirs (the Israelites). However, the Arabs (Palestinians) do not ascribe to that book.

The Bible doesn’t specify the exact boundaries or house-lot numbers. The Zionists were free to buy the land to build their houses on. The Bible DOESN’T say, “Zionists can steal any land they claim for their own.”. In the late 1940s many Palestinians were thrown off their own land that they had old family deeds for, going back hundreds of years.

People shouldn’t use distorted interpretations of the Bible as an excuse to steal people’s land.

I'm not too up on the Zionist movement of the late 1800's.

I think you need to study up on it in a hurry, so you’ll know what started WW III.

LINK TO BOOK

To the Israelis, it's a matter of occupying the land the Lord gave them.

Many Israelis are atheists. You need to study the history of the modern country of Israel. Just because the Zionists call it “Israel”, that doesn’t mean it is the “Israel” of the Bible. People can’t just go in and steal land and kill the owners and then claim, “That’s what God wanted me to do.”

Many Zionists who post here are not loyal to the United States. They are loyal only to the modern country of Israel. They infiltrate conservative groups only to promote their own propaganda and racist agenda.

You might notice that they are not concerned about the 6,000 dead in New York. They are using this crisis in the US to promote their own agenda. We are being attacked on two fronts right now, psychically by radical racist Arabs, and psychologically by radical racist Zionists. I think it would help us to think of America first right now, and work on supporting our own agendas for our own national interests.

This situation is no different from militant blacks in the US who support Africa over the United States and militant Mexicans in the US who support Mexico over the US, except that currently the Israeli Zionists are the best propagandists in the world.

56% of conservatives support Israel according to polls, a much higher percentage than that of American liberals. Following your reasoning the majority of conservatives are "Zionist infiltrators". Well let me tell you, this "Zionist infiltrator" has never voted for anyone other conservative Republicans. I have known and worked with several people (some of them Jews) at WTC One who died on September 11. And you sir are just a pathetic Zionist occupied government conspiracy nut and most likely an anti-Semite of the Liberty Lobby variety.

I think the situation is rather complicated. First, the country or “state” was called Palestine for thousands of years. On all maps published before 1948, it is labeled “Palestine”.

Repeat the lie often enough and it becomes believeable?
Or are you just ignorant?

"Palestine" was a regional label, like "Levant", also in common use at the time.
Find me country data such as monetary system, embassies, flag and other characteristics of a country for "Palestine" prior to 1964.

I'll wait.

Sorry for the lag in getting back to you. I got called away for a while.

You might notice that they are not concerned about the 6,000 dead in New York. They are using this crisis in the US to promote their own agenda.

It does seem this way. As though they think that since we are attacking a country occupied (for the most part) by arabs, that they can do so too. Although, having a member of the country's cabinet assassinated would be cause for retaliation.

What I'm seeing IS the classic example of violence begetting violence that the libs so enthusiastically point out. It's like - who started the killing? Since each one retaliates for another's death, it seems to perpetuate itself.

Thanks for the link - I'll check it out.

"I am however dismayed by the shortsighted so called "Hawks" on this board. I sometimes wonder how many of them are from the liberal left, and posing as Freepers on this board. Why in heavens name would a Freeper (If he really were one) be against our President and his strategic plan."

First, thanks for the nice words in your post.

Second, I don't think the FReeper hawks are liberals in disguise. Think about this:

The "plan" I described in post #39 is something I think I've read between the lines. For obvious reasons, it hasn't been made explicit... We can't exactly tell our enemies and our temporary "friends" who's next at the gallows. It's such a radical departure from the feckless Clinton policy, and even the Arabist inclinations of Bush the Elder.

So when President Bush the Younger says things like "Islam religion of peace" and the U.S. State Department keeps telling Israel "it's only a flesh wound," I need to take a very deep breath to keep my own blood from boiling. And I'm still not absolutely certain that our policy is clear-headed on some of these matters.

But when I'm really feeling confident in President Bush, I think he deliberately allows his base to get rattled. It serves his purposes to appear to (dare I say it) triangulate between his base and his opposition.

Keep in mind, Bush got his Masters in Business Administration, and business is about negotiation... The Art of the Deal. I've been in sales, and it's always important at the outset of a negotiation to dodge, weave, and stretch the boundaries to allow your self the most room to maneuver when it's time to close the deal.

If this number is true, it’s probably more like 56% of conservatives support Jews over Islamic Arabs and support Israel over Islamic Arabic nations. I’m not too crazy about Islamic Arabic nations or Islamic Arabs myself, and I do wish they would just all “go away”. Our country is in the process of subduing some of their anti-American radicals right now, and I support that 100%. I hope we go into several other radical Islamic Arab countries and subdue them too. But this is an American issue that Americans should decide. We are not a colony of Israel.

The small country called “Israel” is not totally blameless. It is not an idealistic “Disneyland of the Lord” as the radical Zionists try to pretend it is. It is just a secular country organized by a racist group of people that was mostly stolen from a group of Arabic goat herders, merchants, and farmers.

What I’ve been trying to point out here is that hard-core Zionists have been propagandizing Americans since the end of WW II in an attempt to get Americans to support Israel blindly and at any cost. They’ve lied, they’ve cheated, they’ve played on Americans’ Biblical beliefs. But they don’t give a hoot about the USA except for what they can get out of us. They are racists and dislike all races but their own, including Gentile Americans.

And you sir are just a pathetic Zionist occupied government conspiracy nut and most likely an anti-Semite of the Liberty Lobby variety.

Oh, blah, blah, blah. The Liberty Lobby was filled with crackpots for years. I’m not a zogite. Our government has been “infiltrated” by a lot of different kinds of people, especially by leftists and Marxists in recent years.

I have known and worked with several people (some of them Jews) at WTC One who died on September 11.

That’s fine. Just keep in mind, we are not and should not be a colony of Israel, Africa, Mexico, Ireland, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, England or any other country.

I don’t think any of the suicide bombers in NYC and DC were “Palestinians”. You are getting the issues mixed up.

That particular post contained a graphic picture showing a dead baby after the raid on a Qana neighborhood. I want to know if such graphic pictures are not allowed.

You've been drinking the terrorist KoolAid for too long. Israel wasn't awash with demonstrations celebrating the WTC bombing. But the Palis had numerous celebrations.

You can ignore the polar bear in your living room but they can turn on you at any time.

Go find it yourself. It was a state inside the Ottoman Empire for many years. Then it was a colony of England.

""Palestine" was a regional label, like "Levant", also in common use at the time."

Bingo. Claiming "palestine" was ever a country because it's name showed up on a map is like saying that "South America" or "Indochina" were once countries.

Further, the very name, "palestine," was given by the Romans to the region often called Judaea after the siege of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. It was derived from the Greek "philistine" named for the people who once occupied the area of Gaza (Gath), and was intended as an anti-semitic insult to the Jews after the fall of Jerusalem.

BTW, Fred25... The Philistines were long dead even by this time. The archaeological record for them ends around 700 or 800 BC. The "palestinians" are not descended from them, because they are Ishmaelites. Most so-called "palestinians" are descended from itinerant laborers who came to work on Jewish settlements in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. There never has been a nation of "palestine," not under the Caliph, nor the Turks, nor under Jordan.

But if you want to talk about creating a so-called "palestinian state," Jordan is a good place to start... since the purpose of Jordan (there never was a nation of Jordan until the 1920s) was specifically to be a "palestinian homeland."

If you cared to check the facts about Qana you'd discover that Qana was a UN camp in Southern Lebanon and not a neighborhood. You'd also discover that Hezbollah fired mortars and rockets at Israel from that camp while the UN "peace keepers" were watching. Israelis returned fire not knowing that there were also some refugees at the camp. Civilians were also killed this week by misdirected US bombs in Afghanistan. War is hell.
