EDUCATION WATCH

** Are you a college student or graduate school student finding yourself in a hostile PC college community?
** Are you concerned you are paying for your college student to take classes like THIS ONE?
** Is your fourth grader getting an A+ in self esteem but can't add and subtract?

Are you afraid your children will learn who these people are:

But not who these people are?

Ed(ucation)Watch is a new FRN chapter devoted to monitoring the education system (private or public K-12, college level, graduate and professional school) and it's crimes against sensibility.

If you are interested in organzing a focused effort to protest the radical PC corruption of the education system on all levels and bringing such corruption into the public view please contact me, diotima to join our chapter.

Diotima, Chapter Executive
IronJack, Chapter Leader
A.J.Armitage, Chapter Leader

Great idea. Is this a libertarian only group? My daughter is at FSU, not strongly political, going to be in a feminist literature class. If you would like here email address, please send me a freepmail. Thanks.

The FRN is an organization separate and distinct from the Forum. It's basic purpose is to organize the independant chapters, including issue specific groups like EdWatch, the CCRM, etc., provide them with tools to help them organize, FReep, and operate as professional organizations. This will be accomplished by providing information, training, communication and networking services, in addition to help with housekeeping issues things like legal and accounting resources. The FRN will also develop strategic partnerships with other conservative organizations in order to coordinate and maximize the benefits of our efforts. However, it must be stressed that individual chapters will be urged to work on their own local and state issues but will always retain the autonomy to decide on their own to take part in national efforts. The FRN is not going to replace the Forum, it will enhance it by providing a vehicle for those who wish to take their conservative activism past plinking on a computer.

BTW - There is a core group of people working on developing a business plan and organizational structure for the FRN. The entire Forum will be hearing about it as it gells in the next few months!

Law School is even worse...the "living constitution" is alive and well amongst the faculty. And you gotta love courts acting in equity, allowing them to ignore the law and act practically however they feel if the legal outcome would be "too harsh" or "unfair".

Man! I leave for a minute, and come back to bump the thread, only to find out it's flying along! How gratifying to see so many FReepers willing to pitch in and get this project off the ground!

Folks, we'll be having a meeting soon to plan our strategy, but suffice it to say that at this point, we've got some pretty ambitious plans, including newsletters, alumni and student polls, and other monitoring activities that will expose the Beast at work.

I suspect we'll have to keep the scope fairly limited to begin with, so that we don't go galloping off wildly in all directions. But there'll be plenty to do, and everyone will be welcome to lend a hand.

There are few issues more critical than this one. We've lost an entire generation of children who can't read, write, or tell the capital of their own state. They are isolated from their own history, and consequently, their own heritage. But they know how to slip a condom on a cucumber, and can recite whole litanies about Kwanzaa.

It's an outrage, and it must be stopped before we lose America. While we'll concentrate primarily on the post-secondary market, we won't be drawing any arbitrary lines. There are exciting challenges in this battle, and we're ready to suit up and join the fray!

Thanks everybody for the warm reception!

Let's make this the shortest fundraiser ever.
4 days into the fundraiser and we are 59% there.
We can be finished in 4 more days
and get back to our regular freeping.
If you can, come on and contribute
to the best web site on the internet.
Or stop by and help bump the thread!

A very useful website for evaluating and exposing liberal mathematics curricula can be found at Mathematicallycorrect.com. This a most timely FRN project.

Glad you are on top of things. You know how screwed up the classrooms are with the leftists running everything.

What a fantastic opportunity for a strategic partnership with CSE!

Have to agree with you, LNM. CSE just took on the Texas State Board of Education and had some leftist issues thrown out of it's textbooks. Our freeper TX Liberty Lady works for CSE here in Texas. I sent her this thread.

Add me to your list dio.
