P.S. Fergit? Hellno!

It will always be the Confederate Air Force to me.

Reckon they'll all still be Colonels?

Whoops! Here it is: The Confederate Air Force has been officially renamed the

COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE.

Oh, well, it is still the CAF, anyway.

Press release on web site makes it official.

I liked my choice best.

It was catchy, easy to remember, and a real conversation-starter.

Makes sense. They can keep the domain name and don't have to change the monograms on the towels and silverwear.

Ah, but which side TRULY lost, Grasshopper?

Was it the side that was defeated on the battlefield, or was it the side that destroyed the foundations of freedom on which they were predicated?

I liked yours too, but painting it on the side would have had to use that 1/2-point type the credit card companies use on their bills to cover up how bad they're screwin' ya...

You'd never be able to fit it on a t-shirt. :)

Yep, you are right. I was born there, and very few people can spell it correctly.

Let's deal with reality, Master Po, and say the side that lost on the battlefield. The other part is only your honorable opinion.

Ah, then Grasshopper, you believe we are a free and Constitutional republic? That sentiment belies your presence in the forum....

I can see absolutely no connection between jack and bill.

If you knew me you would know the connection immediately. I'm fairly familiar with the Confederacy and the War Birds. A connection escapes me.

It was a bit of whimsy, fercryingoutloud.

I just feel that what the CAF does is more important than "whimsey".

We are free and constitutional certainly when compared with other places, honorable sir. With respect I wish Master Po luck in finding a better place. Write when you get there. Do you want the pebble back now?

We are free and constitutional certainly when compared with other places, honorable sir.

But not with other times, young apprentice. Why, I remember only thirty years ago .... (voice trails off, blind eyes mist over with nostalgia)......

With respect I wish Master Po luck in finding a better place. Write when you get there.

You have much to learn, young Grasshopper. If your eating-bowl is dirty, do you discard it for another, cleaner one?

No. You clean that which is yours.

Do you want the pebble back now?

Grasshopper, that is a dried ball of my snot. You may keep it. :o)
