Arafat called for all to join in the struggle to stop what he termed the Israeli program to Judaize Jerusalem.

His strategy has been to deny, deny, deny that Jews ever had anything to do with Jerusalem. He's claimed before that the Israelis aren't really Jews (just Europeans who came to steal their land), that the Palestinians are the descendants of the real Jews, that the Western Wall is a Muslim holy site, and all sorts of other Barbara Streissand.

He has never changed his strategy, it has always been to talk "peace" in front of the cameras, and then, when the world isn't watching, speak "Jihad" to his own people. As he said, he "must always fight and negotiate at the same time."

Yeah, that's what I was remembering, too. The kid was killed by Palestinians, yet they're using his death as a symbol of martyrdom against Israel. I shall be sorely disappointed if Bush kisses Arafat's ring by demanding that the Israelis "shut up and take it," as has been the prior modus operandi. Apparently, "peace" (cough, cough) is more important than truth and justice.
