I agree the government and schools should stay out of all that. I just think if any group of people wants to celebrate any kind of holiday, it's fine with me. You see that informally all the time, people celebrating their past whether it's high school reunions, former workers getting together for a party or luncheon. Blacks have a special history in this country, if some of them want to get together, invite others, and commemorate their past every year it's probably a good thing but the government and politically correct shouldn't need to push or promote it.

The word "pagan" has defined meaning... it does not apply to secular holidays. The Christmas tree found in most homes for the celebration of Christmas is unquestionably pagan. Do you keep a Christmas tree in your home?

Kwanza is as relevant as mother-in-laws day. Kwanza is not the practice of worshiping false god(s). It represents no religion. Negros invented Kwanza to get under the skin of people like you. Seems to be working.

Christians get enough bad press. Perhaps you should pick a better target for your righteous crusade.

Keep in mind that there is no biblical command to establish or celebrate Christmas. Neither is there a biblical instruction against the celebration of "secular" holidays.

The gang called US (it actually never was called the United Slaves) was a violent, racist gang in the late 60's and 70's. It's leader, Ron Everett (aka. Maulana Karenga), is the guy that invented Kwanzaa while he was the gang's leader. US has a violent history - in 1969 alone (3 years after Karenga invented Kwanzaa) they gunned down and killed 4 members of the rival Black Panther gang and seriouly injured another. Two of these murders took place after two Panthers badly dissed Karenga at a Black Studies meeting in Campbell Hall on the UCLA Campus. The US gang chased the Panthers down after the meeting and shot and killed two of them in a hallway before they could even leave the building. Later they killed another Black Panther because he was a witness to the earlier shooting and was going to testify against the US gang and its members who were later convicted of the crime. Karenga was never charged but one can't ignore his involvement as a gangleader in this gang violence.

The members of US had shaved heads and lived in a communal arrangement. They were angry, armed, and lived off of intimidation. The women were subjugate there and Karenga had them walk at least 3 steps behind him. In May of 1970, Karenga accused 2 of his young "African queens" of attempting to poison him by putting crystals in his food. To "discipline" these young women, he forced them to disrobe at gunpoint, beat them with a karate baton, whipped them with an electrical cord, and burned them with a hot soldering iron by putting it in one girl's mouth and on her face. One of the girls had their toes tightened in a vice. Both girls had detergent and a caustic liquid forced into their mouths and then a running garden hose. Karenga said of their treatment, "Vietnamese torture is nothing compared to what I know."

Many want the world to forget that Kwanzaa comes from a violent gangleader like Karenga. Many don't want it mentioned that Kwanzaa is connected with such a violent gang as US. But Karenga is still the leader of US and US is still heavily connected to Kwanzaa today.

The US gang is still around, albeit somewhat rehabilitated. They call themselves the Organization US now and they have their own website here. On this website you will find that Karenga is still the gang's leader. You will also find such things as a Blame America/Anti-War screed about the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Their logo looks like this:

If you go to the Official Kwanzaa Website you will also find Karenga as the leader and founder. If you look in the Nguzo Saba section which explains the 7 principles of Kwanzaa you will find a similar graphic:

If you look further, among the african myth as history garbage in the Roots and Branches section you will find the actual US gang logo:

And next to the US gang logo you will find this statement:

Kwanzaa was created to reaffirm and restore our rootedness in African culture. It is, therefore, an expression of recovery and reconstruction of African culture which was being conducted in the general context of the Black Liberation Movement of the '60's and in the specific context of The Organization Us, the founding organization of Kwanzaa and the authoritative keeper of its tradition.

Given this evidence, one cannot possibly miss the past and present connection between Kwanzaa and a violent gang and its gangleader. Many Kwanzaa proponents attempt to disconnect them by asserting that Karenga and the US gang's past is in the past and has already been addressed. The evidence shows that the connection still exists as strongly as it ever has between Kwanzaa and the US gang. And no one hears of Karenga mentioning or apologizing for his history and that of his gang. No one has heard from Karenga or US a renouncement of the violence that the US gang engaged in under Karenga's leadership.

Newspapers, magazines, websites, and other media outlets every year run a number of pro-Kwanzaa articles. One has to wonder why none have discovered these obvious links between Kwanzaa and a violent gang and gangleader. Could it be that this information does not agree with what they want to pretend Kwanzaa is. However, the evidence shows that Kwanzaa was and still is inextricably linked with a violent racist gang and its sadistic gangleader.

Yes, the seven principles of Kwanzaa are identical to the seven principles of the Symbionese Liberation Army portrayed by the seven cobra heads.

Hey, guess what I just dug up!? I didn't know this until I just found this on the Internet:

The two US thugs who shot the Black Panthers in 1969 after the Black Panthers dissed Karenga at a Black Studies meeting on the UCLA Campus were brothers - Larry and George Stiner.

Both were sentenced to life in prison for murder but escaped in 1974 after five years at San Quentin. Larry Stiner returned to the United States in 1994 from Surinam and is back in prison. His brother remains at large.

Wow! The things you can dig up on the Internet. I wonder if Karenga knows anything about Stiner's whereabouts...

How can Karenga and other Kwanzaa supporters say that this stuff is all in the past, their debt to society has been paid, and that it should be put behind them when at least two of the murderers in US (the official Kwanzaa organization) haven't completed their sentences? They both escaped from prison instead of serving their time and one hasn't come back yet to complete his sentence.

Larry Stiner turned himself into the FBI in Caracas, Venezuela on December 13, 1994. He remains in custody at San Quentin. George Stiner remains at large and his whereabouts remain unknown.
