Good News On CFR: "Voter ID" Amendment May KILL CFR!!!!!!
Special Report With Brit Hume (FNC) ^

Posted on 02/28/2002 2:57:14 PM PST by Recovering_Democrat

Discussion Now on SR with Brit Hume, says CFR will DIE if a particular amendment doesn't pass! The amendment says that first time voters MUST HAVE A PICTURE ID or equivalent ID.

Of course, Demon-rats, who love voter FRAUD (e.g. Missouri and Florida in 2000), OPPOSE this Amendment. McConnell (Patriot, R-KY) says he has 46 votes to FILIBUSTER this...which means the CFR McLame bill will DIE!! KEEP PRAYING, FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND KEEP WRITING AND CALLING YOUR SENATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Notice to U.S. Senators of, or formerly of, the Republican Party ...
If you think you have the support to pass the campaign finance reform bill, you might be wrong.

You can be replaced by a Real Republican.

Keep your champagne stoppered. I think that's a different bill. "Election Reform," Not CFR.

YOU ARE WRONG!!

The "ID Amendment" has to do with ELECTION REFORM, NOT CFR!

You need to listen closer.

I think there is something wrong with your title. Brit Hume was saying that voting reform will die due to an amendment withdrawn at the last minute by the Dems. The amendment was what made Republicans sign on in the first place and was a requirement that a picture ID or envelope which gives home address would be required as proof of ID. The Dems want that amendment withdrawn which is practically proof according to the Beltway Boys that the Dems encourage voter fraud.

I thought they were bringing the CFR bill up without amendments? Didn't Daschle say that was how it would be presented? Up or Down

I'd just love to hear the rationale Democrats give for opposing a measure that requires voters to confirm their identity — I'm sure it takes Clintonian doublespeak to a new low.

It was definitely the election reform bill they were discussing.

That's okay, RD!
