From a post on MCRGO's Message board - Jeff Lemon, Wayne county Chapter Chair. I think the email is from Chris Dingell, the most pro-2a dem in the st senate.
Received the following email tonight.....
quote:
The Big Fella's office NEVER calls mine. About 5:30 his office called mine to say that he had signed HB 5026. Unsaid, but clearly understood, was ". . . now will you stop having all these gun nuts berate me about having vetoed it 15 months ago?"
Let the corks pop!

Make sure to attend the March 20th Wayne County Meeting and personally thank Senator Chris Dingell and others who fought so hard to get this bill passed!!!

Great work MCRGO members here and others that kept the heat on the reps. We did VERY WELL here.
For those that don't know what this bill does, it used to be a FELONY to transport a pistol anywhere outside of a trunk(bad for SUV's) and to transport it anywhere besides hunting, place of business, or a gun range of which you are a member. Now, pistols are treated the same as rifles and shotguns for transport. This is a GREAT repealing of an AWFUL law.
My hat is off to everyone that helped. Now we have to teach Ferndale a lesson in the courts for illegally banning CCW. I think the papers have been filed. Stay tuned. We aren't done yet. We're just getting started!!!!!
Find a good gun-loving lawyer - and have him name as codefendants in the lawsuit every official in the town who made that decision: the city councilmen, the mayor or city manager, etc.
That's how the teacher's unions do it when suing on behalf of fired tenured teachers. It not only drives up defense costs for the school system - but it scares the hell out of any school-board member anywhere even thinking of voting to fire a tenured teacher and thus risk his own personal assets.
GUN REVIEWS free from ad-money bias - with emphasis on woman-friendliness of tested guns!
Ferndale, an ultraleft small city bordering Detroit(think Chapel Hill times 2), tried to pass the suit to their insurance company. The insurance company told them it isn't worth fighting and they might not help out here. We(MCRGO) don't care where the money comes from here. Ferndale was talking about taking this to the State Supremes(with a strict constitutionalist majority). We want that actually since that will stand for the whole state outside Oakland County circut court.
Last I heard, there was collection cans in Ferndale asking for donations for legal fees. That's pathetic. LOL.
Don't know the answer to the 2nd question.

Something along the lines of "Give us the money you SHOULD be spending on a gun owned to protect yourself as is your right by the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution so we can take them away from you."?????!
It's true, dreams can come true. All it takes is a lifetime's work and a big boot to kick the unwilling's asses into line.
You know, when you pick up this weapon it screams craftmanship.
