Where's the "log off" button? I used to log out. Or off. I thought it was polite, and it cleared my cookie.

Go to the front page www.freerepublic.com, look in the left column. We just don't have a "button" anymore - or at least for right now. But you can still log off.

oh no!! were trapped!! Help!!

Nope. I tried to log off yesterday from the home page - clicked on Log Off on the left, followed the procedures, got a messages saying I was logged off, click on Ok, was taken right back to the previous Latest Posts page I was on, and am still logged in. No cleared cookies here...

Nope. I just did it and was taken back to "Latest Posts" but was logged out. I've always had to clear cookies myself.
