PREGNANT PRETEEN
AP Wire | May 29, 2002

Posted on 05/29/2002 8:52:45 AM PDT by NYer

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ An 11-year-old city girl who police said was impregnated by a 75-year-old man has given birth.

A state Department of Children and Families spokeswoman confirmed Tuesday that the girl is now a mother. The girl and the baby are both in DCF custody.

``We will continue to be involved with her and the baby. Both are safe, spokeswoman Joan Gurski said.

Jimmy Kave, accused of fathering the child, is charged with six counts of first-degree sexual assault, eight counts of risk of injury to a minor and two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree.

Police said Kave, who was arrested April 17, admitted having sex on several occasions with the girl beginning in January 2001, but claimed she had enticed him. Kave met the girl through an ``Adopt-A-Godparent'' program at his Bridgeport housing complex.

Authorities also charged the girl's doctors with failing to report the abuse to authorities when they learned she was pregnant. Attorneys for Drs. Mukesh Shah and Ann Lule have asked a judge to dismiss those charges, claiming there is insufficient evidence.

Sexual assault? Oh-oh, this guy may end up getting off with only probation.

"A teacher who admitted having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student was sentenced to five years probation. Pamela Diehl-Moore, 43, pleaded guilty in January to sexual assault as part of an agreement to avoid a possible three-year prison sentence."

Then again, maybe not, since this involves sexual assault against a little girl as opposed to a little boy.

You know that here in New york it would be only a matter of time before the girl was put in 'foster care' where she would be abused in much the same way. (With an accuracy of prediction of 67%.)

Also, if she had reported the abuse in New York, she would be told that she was lying. (Actual case near me, a girl was being molested by her mother's boyfriend since she was 9. It was reported repeatedly, to which the "Proper authorities" said there was "nothing wrong/going on, we investigated and found nothing". When she turned 16 she finally had enough and took the pictures he took, video, and any other evidence and went to the police. Her family has turned against her and "Blamed the Victim". Scum bag got a light sentence. He's out and she's scared.)

So, with my patented "Cynic Vision" I'm wondering how long it will take that state to pimp this 11 year old out. Or at least make her feel that it's okay to engage in sex with multiple partners. (Again, New York.)

Um, "pederasty" is homosexual behavior involving an adult male and a teenage boy. How did you figure it fit into this pregnancy story?

So the word should have been pedophile--doesn't change the issue.

The paternity test, if it hasn't been done already, will definitely have to be done when they sue for part of the old geezer's estate.

If this passage, from the article, is PC talk for housing project, "at his Bridgeport housing complex ", as I suspect it might. I doubt the "old geezer" has much of an estate to go after.

The first thing I want to see is a paternity test.

Your point would be...? Are you not disgusted that the pervert had sex with her to begin with, pregancy or no?

Anyone have any more information regarding this case?

CT Bump!

If any one would like to be removed from my CT Bump list, please let me know and it will be done ASAP. Conversely, if you would like to be added the same holds true.

Ah, you are rejoining the battle, I see. :)

Okay. The judge in that case should be tarred and feathered. The female offender agreed to plead guilty in exchange for a reduced sentence of three years in prison instead of ten--and the judge took leave of his senses, ignored the deal the prosecutors had arranged and gave her probation instead. He said that the thirteen-year-old was "satisfying his sexual needs", as if a thirteen-year-old boy's sexual "needs" should ever be satisfied with anything other than his own hand. Furthermore the woman is a complete basket case who has attempted suicide once and been "hospitalized" twice since April (a probable danger to her own children, in other words) and is very likely to offend again no matter how loudly she sobs about how sorry she is. I fully expect her to violate her probation in a big way before the year is out, and then she'll be in (as another freeper put it so well today)"the stone college of hard knowledge" where she belongs, just like Mary Kay LeTourneau. HOWEVER--

The woman *pleaded guilty*, as opposed to the dirty old heterosexual pervert and the homosexual toe-sucking pervert we were previously discussing, who both believe they are completely innocent and only misunderstood by society, and are hoping to convince a jury of same. They'll have to take what they get, and can't count on getting a wacky judge to intervene on their behalf with a "gift" sentence.

Plus, it isn't the end of the story. The judge agreed to postpone sentence for 45 days so that the prosecution can appeal--they made that request as soon as the word "probation" left the judge's lips that day. And they are definitely appealing, last I heard.

It's senior-citizen housing. It may or may not be the type of place that takes all your assets before they let you in, I don't know. A paternity suit is the only way to go, the geezer's not going to be around forever. I'd be working on it already.

"Doesn't matter. He's not being charged with paternity, but with sexual assault. The paternity test, if it hasn't been done already, will definitely have to be done when they sue for part of the old geezer's estate."

It's not our 'old geezer', I hope. LOL

You are right and in my first response I was going to suggest that, but cut my post short to save time. The old guy belongs in jail - or dead if this was my kid. I'm just doubting the paternity, not the act. I bet she has a young man somewhere that she is involved with and used the old man for a paternity suit or even just to say 'it wasn't her fault. JMO

"What difference does it make whether he's the father or not? He had sex with an eleven-year-old child, for Pete's sake."

One of the first things that I said was that this was sick. I'm just questioning the paternity, not the act. But I am not defending what he did.

The man, and maybe even the parent(s) belong in jail.

You missed one of my first comments that this incident was sick. I do question the paternity. I do not question the act. That was my point - although I apparently didn't do a good job of making it.

If the baby is his, then it's scientific proof he had sex with the girl. Otherwise, it's more circumstantial. I prefer ironclad proof before drawing and quartering a defendant...

This is gross and another reason I would NEVER leave my daughter alone unsupervised with a stranger were I a parent.

It still amazes me how people leave their kids with people they barely know, but try getting those same people to leave their house key with someone they barely know when they go on vacation...

Two things not reported in this article --
Kave has an extensive criminal record, including a 1984 sexual assault.

The two doctors who failed to report run an abortion mill.

Kinda puts some perspective on this story about "kindly old grampa" and these two "caring doctors."

when they sue for part of the old geezer's estate

This guy was living in a Bridgeport housing complex. Bridgeport is a hellhole, and if you're a resident of a housing complex that appears to be government run, your entire estate probably can't buy more than one or two outfits for the infant.
