*****America needs a full, open, publicly-televised investigation into 9-11,*****
....where only republicans are investigated, i bet !

The dispicable Ted Rall, the man who mocked Danny Pearl's widow.
I would never advocate that he be beaten with tire chains....nope, not me.

A year has passed since September 11th. Yet we, the American people, still don't know exactly what happened. There are still no plans for a public investigation of how more than 3,000 Americans lost their lives, what could have been done to prevent the attacks or reduce their impact.
I believe that hijacked airplanes flew into the WTC and Pentagon, while another crashed in Pennsylvania. That's how this all transpired last time I checked.
Besides, everyone knows that George W. Bush is at fault for this. He was supposed to personally kill all of the hijackers in all four planes simultaneously with his bare hands. < /sarcasm>

KEEE-Rice , Ol' Ted done gone off the deep end on this one... You look for consistency in a person.
Unfortunately, Ted can only remember some of his WH soirees .. Must have some good videos of him, I rekkun ..

A year has passed since September 11th. He can't write, and he can't count.
And he's not much of a cartoonist either.
So there.

Yah! That's right, Ted!
You go, boy!
As in, "away".
Ted Rall is living proof that Second Rate, petty, little men can draw poorly, think poorly, and write poorly. An unfocused screed this long, filled as it is with Blak Helikopterz speculation and the usual rants against Bush and Cheney. I didn't look closely, but did he mention the "Stolen Election": it's almost de riguer for any left winger to scream "President-Select" at George W. Bush. Just scream "2000 Election" in a room full of Democratic Lefty activists and you'll see them react like a bunch of Hitler Youth at a bookburning.
But at least he can type. The next time Ted Rall writes his next vituperative piece of billingsgate, just think of Ellsworth Toohey writing screeds against Howard Rourke.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

Monday morning quarterbacking this issue will get us nowhere. 3,000 Americans lost their lives because many factors were in play. The INS and State Department policies do not protect the United States: Lax visa laws; training schools for pilots with no way of really checking the veracity of the student and wanting the money anyway: Universities and colleges pushing mul·ti·cul·tur·al·ism claiming they want the diversity and the
money it brings: Lax security at airports and on the plane itself: Profiling and political correctness: EPA rules that stopped the use of heat resistant materials in the Twin Towers while being built...materials that might have stopped the massive imploding had steel girders been protected: Linda Daschle lobbing for the airlines
NOT to have to increase security because of the money it takes.: Al Gore on whose watch let the FAA take a pass in many areas: The Clinton years instead of beefing up our national security, sold it and let National Security from the CIA to Los Alamos lapse into a limbo of willful disrepair.
To try and blame a new administration for years of disregard, bad policy in the departments responsible for our security, Albright's department comes to mind, cannot and will not ever repair the damage done to life, limb and real estate.
3,000 Americans lost their lives because we didn't care about who came to our country and why.

What did Bush know and when did he know it? A few months ago it was revealed that, while vacationing in Crawford, Texas on August 6, 2001, Bush had received an "analytical report" warning from National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice ( news - web sites) that a terrorist attack was imminent. What was the exact nature of that warning? How detailed was it? Should Bush have cut short his vacation and headed back to Washington? That paragraph alone is proof that this entire article is nothing more than a desperate attempt to launch a smear campaign against President Bush. The author doesn't care about what really happened on 9/11. He just wants to politicize the terrorist acts and help the Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.
The attempt to link Bush's August vacation with the terrorist attacks is disgusting. As if the terrorists would have changed their plans had Bush not vacationed in Texas that summer. Pathetic.

I believe that anything that is Un-American thrives in the darkness and cannot withstand the light of day.
I am surprised that so many important questions in need of answers for us to be a fully informed electorate, could come from Ted Rall. There are many more questions in need of answers concerning U.S. policy going back to the 1980's, yet I doubt Rall is as insistent towards them.
Nevertheless, we are on the verge of a vast expansion of foreign/military policy. It would benefit us to learn more of how this situation developed. Who made what mistakes and their consequences? In order to form more effective future policies.

Need one read more?
"What did Bush know and when did he know it?"
Democratic propagandist or simply trying to make a buck of the 9-11 tragedy? You be the judge.
"Did Echelon cough up the 9-10 warnings?"
Yeah...

Talk about Monday morning quarterbacking! And I bet this same guy objects strenuously if there's even a hint of Middle Eastern profiling at airport security areas.
To: jern
Why didn't our Air Force shoot down the hijacked planes?Because people like you, Mr. Rall, would have raised such an outraged outcry over the American military industrial complex murdering innocent Americans.

There are still no plans for a public investigation of how more than 3,000 Americans lost their lives, what could have been done to prevent the attacks or reduce their impactWhy is it that people just cant understand and accept that we were attacked ? And then just deal with it ....It makes no difference who attacked no difference why no difference where or when what makes a difference is IT HAPPENED and now its time to deal with it Pointing the finger at BUSH or CLINTON isnt going to bring back those people nor will it bring closure soon to those who lost loved ones
Nothing could have been done to prevent attacks Unless Clinton or Bush are mind readers! And if such evidence comes forward that either one knew someting was going to happen WHAT COULD BE DONE ?
I prayed for those who lost their lives on that fateful day and i still pray for those who have been devistated by the loss of their loved ones on that day But we must go on we must live as the people who are now in heaven would want us to live
The real truth is we have enemys as a country and as a nation nothing will stop that from happening because we are FREE and POWERFUL as a country and as a people But standing around pointing at people and casting expersions only serves to divide us as a nation

Who locked the roof doors at the World Trade Center? During the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, hundreds of workers escaped smoke by going to the roofs. On September 11th hundreds died when they went up dozens of flights of stairs only to find those same roof doors locked. Why did city fire officials order those doors locked between 1993 and 2001, and more importantly, why didn't they post notices through the World Trade Center complex to advise that roof doors would no longer be unlocked? Prosecutions may be in order for criminal negligence.Um, Ted, the two buildings collapsed. Those located in the floors above where the planes crashed were doomed, not by locked doors, but instead by thick, choking smoke caused by burning jet fuel, which in turn was caused by CRAZED TERRORISTS CRASHING PLANES INTO THE BUILDING!
Any article with a byline of Ted Rall that features the word "truth" in the title should be ignored. Get a life, Ted.
