MSNBC ^ | October 5, 2002 | Alex Witt

Their reporters are hearing that the Democrats in the House are extremely unhappy about the deal that Gephardt struck on Iraq with Dubya and are calling for his resignation.

Or there may be a revolt on the vote next session providing he runs again

The funny thing is that they are throwing overboard the one man who can possibly save them in 2004.

If we go to war with Iraq (we will) and if we win (we will) and Saddam is worse then they dreamed (he is) then the 'Rats have nobody who was on the right side.

I can't remember what family it was but they used to have at least one family member as high placed as possible on either side of any conflict. This insured that at least one would be on the winning side and able to beg for mercy for the rest.

Hey, ‘Rats! Heave-ho!

Never forget. When you see the Palosi's of the world you certainly know that ----THE ENEMY IS WITHIN!! Our nation will not survive if these people are not irradicated from the political arena. And GW had the chance to rid us of those Klintoons & he chose not to do the work of the nation. I will never forgive him.

BARBRA STREISAND

Barbra comes out of semiretirement

LOS ANGELES - Barbra Streisand emerged from semiretirement Sunday night, headlining a Hollywood gala that raised some $6 million toward Democratic efforts to take back control of Congress.

The performer took the stage for a nine-song set at the Kodak Theatre, home of the Oscars, as top House Democrats, including House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the minority whip, looked on....

If this is true, that is just incredible. He has worked himself to the bone for his party (and I am no Gephardt fan). It seems the Dems have the honour of Tolkien's Orcs.

Socialist Wing, Black Caucus..or are they one in the same?

Republicans are always accused of "eating our own". Isnt' it fun to see the democrats munching on themselves for a change?

Democrat Meltdown = It's a good thing!

This is getting so old. If you do not understand the restraints President Bush is working under, then there is no point in discussing this with you.

But one last time, if President Bush went after the Clintons in a way that would have made us all happy, he would have been destroyed by the Democrats and their friends in the media. How many times in the past two years has there been a major assault against President Bush.

One of the things that protects him is that the media has not been able to paint him as a evil man, the truth is, most Americans trust him.

Look what the Media has done with other's in the Republican party when they attempted to point out the corruption of the left.

I firmly believe that the President and his staff came into office knowing they were going to face this type of attack and have found a way to deflect it.

If I was playing chess, I would not exchange any of my pieces just to get Clinton. The man is so corrupt that in time he will do him self in.

As it is, by being nice, we are within a few days of having the House, and Senate under Republican control.

But fine, if you do not like the way the President has performed his duties, don't vote for him. Now that is not hard is it.

so in your world, bush is the enemy because he failed to rid the us congress of communist democrats?

And just how would he do that, without violating election laws? Pelosi hates gephardt for supporting the president as best as he can; being a democrat; but bush is responsible for it?

You won't forgive bush?

I think you have identified our problem, however...

The hypocrisy of the Dems on this is stunning even by their usual standards.

They are mad at Gephardt because he supports the President on this issue. It's not as much the substance of his position as it is the fact that he made Bush looked good and isolated the anti-war faction within the anti-war party.

In other words, those Dems are mad at Gephardt because he didn't politicize this issue. He went with his conscience -- what he believed to be the right thing to do -- and they're mad at him because it will hurt them politically. And this is the issue they're screaming should not be politicized. Unbelievable. "You have to be the "loyal opposition" whether or not you actually oppose him. That's just amazing.

OMG! The Socialist wing of the DNC is getting way out of hand! This is getting more and more dangerous to our Republic, our freedoms, and our security!

Pretty amazing how far the rats will go to stop this war. My first reaction was to laugh. Gephart makes too much sense, so off with his head. The DNC is milling in confusion. Stephonopolous supported the attack last Sunday. Gephart supported the attack a few days later. Several prominent democrats publicly disagreed with Gore's anti-war speech, including Lieberman... LOL! Hillary is still saying "Bush knew" when she shouldn't open her mouth ever about terrorism, since terrorists are part of her voting base. [FALN pardons] The Torch was discovered to be a terrorism lobbyist, and leaves his campaign and war chest to someone he previously threatened to castrate. Dallas Mayor Kirk [running for senate] opposed attacking Iraq because he believes it will kill a disproportionate number of minority soldiers, and he asked the Chief Terrorist Pardoner to raise cash for him. KKK Byrd talks about the constitutionality of going to war without a formal declaration, after watching several undeclared wars pass him by previously. 70% of Americans support going to war, and yet the DNC is now rallying to the opposite view. Maybe it was the Bo Gritz report that triggered Clinton and the House to panic. Heck. I really don't know. But the truth is, they were enemies of truth and liberty long before this year. Like Hannity says, we cannot defeat evil until we first defeat evil's enabler: liberalism.
