The director of the Governor's Office of Criminal Justice Planning resigned Friday in the wake of disclosures linking him to indicted water official Monte McFall and to San Joaquin County Sheriff Baxter Dunn.

An FBI search warrant affidavit unsealed Thursday says N. Allen Sawyer joined McFall and Dunn in a corporation that was "permeated with fraud" and appeared to have been "created solely in order to perpetrate ... extortion and fraud schemes."

He insisted that Davis did not seek the resignation.

"I didn't want it to affect the governor's campaign, so I took a little early vacation," he said.

But Davis told The Bee, "He resigned today at my direction. It is an example of someone who made a mistake, and we acted quickly to correct it."

That's a good one , Guv!

Dave Crespo, a Calpine consultant, told FBI agents that he met with San Joaquin County Supervisor Lynn Bedford and McFall at Bedford's home on May 15, 2001.

"McFall was introduced as Bedford's political mentor and close personal friend," and he was described as politically influential, the affidavit says.

McFall urged that Calpine get out of the bidding or he would generate public debate about the company's use of ammonia at its plant in neighboring Alameda County, the affidavit says.

Calpine Senior Vice President John King told the FBI that he confirmed the threat in a telephone call to McFall. The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors subsequently passed a resolution condemning the Alameda County project, and King blames his refusal to withdraw from the port project, the affidavit says.

This is a great find and post!

Now we now why with the Criminal Davi$ and his fellow Rat$ there has been "No Controlling Legal Authority!"

They have their criminals in charge, so their criminal actions are never investigated.

From this article:

The director of the Governor's Office of Criminal Justice Planning resigned Friday in the wake of disclosures linking him to indicted water official Monte McFall and to San Joaquin County Sheriff Baxter Dunn.

An FBI search warrant affidavit unsealed Thursday says N. Allen Sawyer joined McFall and Dunn in a corporation that was "permeated with fraud" and appeared to have been "created solely in order to perpetrate ... extortion and fraud schemes."

Sawyer, a 34-year-old former deputy district attorney in San Joaquin County, was appointed by Gov. Gray Davis in March as interim director of the criminal justice planning office. It oversees federal and state grants for crime prevention and suppression, and victim services.

McFall is charged in a federal indictment with mail fraud, attempted extortion and witness tampering. The charges relate to McFall's tenure as a board member of a water district in San Joaquin County. Prosecutors say his friend of many years , Dunn, has helped him try to obstruct the government's investigation.

I'm not a fan of Cal Pine, however, these Fascist Rats working for Davis are criminals. Just read this part of this article:

The other two bidders were Calpine Corp. and a Florida utility. Calpine eventually was awarded the contract.

Bedford presented the resolution to the board, and it was adopted on June 26, 2001. Dunn spoke out at the meeting against the Alameda County project, saying he would be unable to evacuate San Joaquin County residents if there was an ammonia leak at the Calpine plant.

This is incredible.

Of course we find out about it on the Saturday before the election next Tuesday.

Please alert your fellow freepers, and we need to get this article out to our fellow California Voters.

2 words .... Bill Lockyer

This state is not being served by those most responsible for fair and unbiased investigation and prosecution of abuses of campaign or election law or the use of offices to exert undue political influence for money.

Incredible. And Davis and Sawyer can't even get their stories straight on why Sawyer is resigning.

A criminal conspiracy and extortion racket runs California, and the residents there are poised to re-elect them.

More of this to come unless conservatives turn out on Tuesday to do something about it.

All I can say is, RICO ... The Feds will be coming back to investigate this whole sordid little incestuous "government" we have been living with the last few years.

We need a former prosecutor in office to help the Feds throw these bums in jail for life. They have destroyed countless opportunities for law biding citizens and legit businesses to flourish, all for their own greedy schemes.

IMO, Bill Lockyer should be in the same cellbock as Davi$ and all his cornies.

Wow!

Click here to download the California Republican Liberty Caucus' tri-fold pamphlet on the governor's race!

It's a .pdf file, so you'll need Acrobat Reader... it's free, and chances are good you already have it on your computer. Try the link and see.

Print it using the printer-icon button in the Acrobat toolbar in your browser (not File|Print in your browser's menu). It's intended for double-sided printing using single pieces of paper-- no stapling needed if you do it that way, and saves trees! ;-) Print one side, then invert the paper and feed it through a second time for the second side. Fold, and sally forth to get out the vote!

Give this to friends, walk your neighborhood, take it to stores, give a wad of 'em to your school, hand some out at your house of worship, at clubs, at stores and small businesses...

Let's retire Gray Davis!

Let's show the media and RINOs that "It's the base, stupid!"

Let's show Gray Davis that money can't buy him love ...or re-election!

Freepers and RLC activists can claim considerable credit for nominating Bill Simon, so now let's elect him!

"Davi$ and all his cornies."

I would imagine the Governor of Iowa would have "cornies." (grin)

Davis, on the other hand has nuthin but crooked cronies!!! You are absolutely right! This is why the people of CA traditionally have elected an Attorney General of the opposite party to whomever they elect as Governor.

Boy, I clicked on Sacbee.com this morning and there it was! I thought I wuz havin a wet dream and couldn't hardly wait to put the link on your thread of yesterday that contained the AP article that didn't have near the detail of this article.

Ernest FReep mailed me and told me you already started this thread, but things were happening so fast, I didn't believe him at first. I was so shook up by seeing my acquaintence Dave Crespo being right in the middle of this, which I hadn't even discovered when I found Ernesto's Freep mail.

You are to be congratulated for beating me to the punch as this should be an even bigger punch to the gut of the doomed Davis campaign, than the Nathanson letters, IMHO! I can hardly wait for the inditements and the criminal trials.

I know, It'll all happen after the election, kinda like the impeachment had to wait till after the criminal Clinton, Clinton & Gore, Inc. was re-elected. But this "Show Me The Money" (SMTM, Inc.) is just too much!!!

Just makes me wanna shout "GIDDY UP!"
