How can people vote before Nov 5th? I'm confused, I thought all non-absentee voting had to be done on one day.

Didn't that used to be (Democratic) Mayor Daley's slogan :
VOTE EARLY !
VOTE OFTEN !!
To: davidosborne
I'm about to run down to the CH myself - do you know how late they'll be open today?
To: genefromjersey
I heard that slogan quite a bit durring the 2000 election.. I prefer the
VOTE EARLY .. so NO ONE can vote in your name on Nov. 5th!

We have a definite cause of voter fraud in NC.
Check out this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/780934/posts
NC law is cited, which CLEARLY shows this to be fraud because a gift was given for voting. Under the state's law, a gift for voting at all is illegal; it does not have to be a gift for voting for a specific candidate. Accepting these gifts even without requesting them is also illegal. Therefore, all the voters that took the gifts, as well as the woman who gave them out, have committed felonies.

Hope you live within 15mins of the CH... Close at 4:00 today

we had that here too... many reports of ciggarettes to the homeless in exchange for DEM votes.. the homeless were driven to the polls and handed a "sample" ballot with all the (D) Candidates marked.. and were told to make thier "offical" ballot look like the sample in exchange for a pack of cigarettes..

I voted already by absentee ballot.
I voted for Senator John Warner (R-VA)...I know he's not the best, but Olie North would not have made it this time.
I voted for Virgil Goode (R-VA 5th district). He just switched before this election from Independent to Republican, just as he switched from Democrat to Independent before the 2000 election. That is the way party switching should be, so as to let the people decide if they still want you...and not like "Jumpin' Jim Jeffords" and soon to be "Jumpin' Lincoln Chafee...they switch after the election.

I see - well, it's too late today. I'll have to vote on election day.
Do you live in County Commission District 5?
To: davidosborne

In many states, they have absentee voting AND "early voting by personal appearance". This is a courtesy for people who know they will be out of town on November 5th or who just want to avoid standing in long lines on election day. In Texas, the early voting began 17 days before the election at various polling places like libraries and community centers and ends 4 days before election day. One advantage of early voting over abstentee voting is you don't have to apply for a ballot 60 days before the election if something in your schedule comes up close to election day.

I voted at our Board of Elections office this past month because I'm a poll worker on election day. Boy it felt great to cast that vote for our Kentucky Republican team!
Here's one BIG TIME BUMP TO THE TOP!!!!!!!
