WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two leading aerospace companies have been accused by the State Department of illegally providing satellite and rocket technology to China that could be used for intercontinental missiles.

The department accused Hughes Electronics Corp. and Boeing Satellite Systems of illegally giving technical data to China following failed Chinese launches of rockets carrying American satellites in 1995 and 1996. Boeing acquired Hughes' space unit in 2000.

Pervert, bent willie klinton, does not know how to tell the truth.

The smell for his perverted era in the peoples house will be around for a long, long time.

Let not make the same mistake again and place crusty klinton in the peoples house, ever.

"Dore said the company complied with the regulations of the Commerce Department, which oversaw technology exports at the time. He said discussions with the State Department are continuing. "

Just to make this a bit more interesting I added the following...

*******************************************

Things that make you go HMMMMM....

April 3, 1996

A plane carrying Ron Brown, U.S. commerce secretary, and 34 others, crashes in rocky terrain over Croatia. There are no survivors.

Huang's ex-boss, Charles Meissner Assistant Secretary for International Economic Policy at the Department of Commerce, also died in the same plane crash with Ron Brown. The CIA discovered evidence that China is supplying parts and technicians for a plutonium reprocessing plant in Pakistan....

Things sure were busy for Boeing back then. Coincidently, July 17, 1996, TWA Flight 800 blew up, or was shot down, bombed, etc.

in '95 BA was trading in the low 20's.
by '96 the stock was trading around high $20's to low $30's.

in what may be considered on of the most contrarian moves of all time, after the "center fuel tank" explosion of TWA flight 800 (which, ironically never grounded the fleet - including AF1), Boeing stock basically doubled to nearly $60 per share over the next two years!

No, I am broke, unless I get a serious change in employment, I cannot afford this one. I have had soe wonderful people bail me out too many times, I cannot go, it would be a serious breach of ethics to borrow more money for a trip, when I owe them for loans to pay bills!
