Bill O'Reilly Sept 11 Mistake?
Posted on 01/27/2003 8:40:36 PM PST by ConservativeMan55
I was just watching Bill O'Reilly arguing with one of these "Not in our name" activists. Bill was saying that it is offensive to compare the victims of 911 to those who died in Iraq during the Gulf War. The 'Not in our name' activists compared 911 to the Gulf War, and Vietnam.
The activist responded by saying that he had signatures from heroes on Sept 11. O'Reilly asked who, and the guy said
"Well look here Jeremy Glick signed the petition" said the activist.
Then O'Reilly says not once but several times..."Well if this Jeremy Glick guy signed it we are going to have to get him on"
"Were going to find this Jeremy Glick guy and get him on the program" says O'Reilly again.
Excuse me, didn't Jeremy Glick die on Sept 11, on Flight 93????

Jeremy Glick Jr wasn't even born on Sept 11. His wife was pregnant at the time. He couldn't have signed the petition. He would only be a year or two old.

The smart ass needs a spanking.

On the petition is the following name.
Jeremy Matthew Glick, co-editor of Another World Is Possible
Maybe it's a relative?

On one hand I can't imagine O'Reilly messing up the name. On the other hand, I can't imagine someone related to Jeremy Glick woud sign such an offensive petition.

They said "relative"!

Go to O'Reilly's website. The petition link is there with the name Jeremy Glick, big as life, along with the usual suspects. The kid and O'Reilly are right, and the kid did say it was a close relative, so I guess it is the father.

With my memory problems I guess I can cut O'Reilly some slack on this one. :-) Like somehow he's instantly supposed to remember all of the 9/11 victims names? But what I find odd is how O'Reilly thinks the whole world is supposed to line up to come on his show or they are somehow chicken. He makes a big deal if they won't come on the program. I think I've had enough of this blowhard for one lifetime. It must be hard for people that full of themselves to even try to submit to Christ.

Good Evening All-
Guys, it is the "peace activist" who is confused! I'm sure Bill O'Reilly realizes that Jeremy Glick was on Flight 93.
As mentioned, he caught the sissypants hippie in a lie.

Jeremy Glick's father signed the petition? Maybe he didn't know what he was reading, or was mistaken about their cause.
To: warfrat
Jeremy Matthew Glick is the editor a magazine called "Another World is Possible".
There is absolute nothing to indicate that he's related in any way to the hero from Flight 93.
Shameful. Absolutely shameful.
Looking into the magazine now...

So the peace activist was trying to make it look like Jeremy Glick signed the petition? How sick!!!
To: warfrat
I remember seeing some relatives of 911 victims on a show expressing anti-war sentiments, I don't recall their names, but more than one family.

Got a hunch you're right, Blue Jays. O'Reilly just wanted to keep digging it deeper so knowledgable viewers would know the guest was full of it.
To: ConservativeMan55
Looks like this Jeremy Glick is a black-panther, race-relations activist as well conveniently sharing a name with a heroic victim of 9/11. O'Reilly knew exactly what he was doing and will call this man out!

O'Reilly told the kid that he didn't know his history!
Apparently O'Reilly is right! That kid doesn't know squat if he thinks Jeremy Glick signed that petition!

Hopper where did you find this information about the false Jeremy Glick?
To: ConservativeMan55
I'd like to know on what moral basis this so-called "Statement Of Conscience" is based.

Beka Economopoulos volunteers at the Salvation Army and the Arab-American Family Support Center. Jeremy Glick teaches at Rutgers University and fields questions from students about what it was like to lose his father in the World Trade Center. Luis Sanchez works with youth in East LA who are happy for the first time not to be the targets of immigrant-bashing. Jee Kim is part of and works with immigrant communities of color in New York, one of the groups most devastated by 9/11 and least represented in media coverage of the tragedy. Walidah Imarisha grew up on military bases, resides in North Philly, and feels that living in a time of terror is nothing new. Shaffy Moeel watched the tragedy on TV from South Africa, where everyone wanted to know what she felt -as an AmericanÇ then returned to California to find she was more "other" than ever.
