Fort Campbell, Kentucky-AP -- The soldier taken into custody after a grenade attack at a 101st Airborne Division camp in Kuwait has been identified as Sergeant Asan Akbar.

But Army spokesman George Heath says the attack that left one dead and 15 wounded hasn't been linked to Akbar's Islamic faith. And he says the attack won't lead to other Muslims being barred from serving in the U-S military.

Heath says an Islamic chaplain is assigned to the 101st Airborne Division in Kuwait. And he says Akbar is being allowed to say his Muslim daily prayers while he's in custody. No charges have been filed yet.

I would think he should be sent to camp x-ray as an enemy combatant. I think his taking up arms against the US in wartime is grounds for loss of citizenship. As an enemy combatant, he doesn't have the right to Johnny Cochran either.

The USA Army is absolutely to blame for the deaths and injuries of the US soldiers by the so called Muslim-American, and it was he heights of stupidity to have him where he was. They had a fox guarding the hen house while the soldiers were sleeping. If the leaders of our nation knew the bible, they would not be so foolish as to believe that Islam is a religion. Forget that! There's no way I could sleep off-watch while a muslim bunk buddy was on-watch. I wouldn't catch a wink. Not only do our boys want to do their jobs and win the war, but they also want them to come back home alive. My daughter said she had heard on TV, that his brother was tossed from the Air Force because of Anti-American statements after 9/11.

No Muslim soldier should be serving in the front!

In WW II we had Japanese soldiers serving in Italy.

The Muslim soldiers can stay home and to rear detachment stuff.

The PC crowd once again rears it's ugly head. Even those who knew him back home said he was against this war and didn't want to kill fellow Muslims. This was clearly Jihad, and I have no doubt the Army is fully aware of this.
