I do not condone his behavior in any way shape or form but will be interesting to compare his actions and the penalty compared to the anti war freaks who assualt our police officers and block traffic etc.

While the trucker shouldn't have done it, why didn't the protesters "try Peace" at the truck, instead of running?

(The truck) stopped about 10 feet from the nearest protesterSo no one was hurt. *sigh* I understand this driver's frustration, but we have to refrain from assaulting these anti-U.S. morons, difficult though it may be.

People, remember the media lurks here. Don't give them any ammo.

I think we should send in inspectors to see if this guy was really violating any laws. And if that doesn't stop him, send in more inspectors for a longer period of time.

The Trucker should ask for a trial by jury.
In California a few years ago, a young girl was mauled by a neighbor's "ego" dog. Her father waited at her bedside for two days and nights, then received word that his daughter would live, but would need a lot of surgery.
The father went out of the hospital, found the dog, and beat it with a baseball bat; it had to be destroyed. Charges were filed against him and a complaint was filed by the pets owner.
During arraignment the father of the mauled girl made one statement: he wanted a trial by jury.
The judge dismissed the charges. There was no way any jury, even of Clintonistas, would have convicted him.
The trucker has the same ability....he should make use of it.
