Political tidbits and other shenanigans from around the nation's capital.

No matter your position on Iraq, a march, rally, protest or demonstration is being held somewhere in Washington to suit your fancy. But don't be fooled by the organizer's name.

Take "CodePink," purportedly peaceful ladies.

They are simply citizens exercising a right won for them by patriots.

by force, if necessary.

Aren't these people (Code Pink) the people Dr. Phil Whatever had on his show....virtually exposing their hypocrisy?

I propose giving them the signs.

By breaking them over their idiotic heads.

Yep, the same ditz with titz.

The mousie one who looked like a deer in the headlights is Susie "Medea" Benjamin.

Look up "Medea Benjamin" in www.amazon.com and you'll find her book, "Cuba: Thoughts About Revolution".

So is Susie a peace activist or a revolutionary?

What's her thoughts on Castro's summary execution of 3 people who hijacked a ferry?

What's her thoughts on Castro putting prople in jail for life for the "crime" of protesting against the Cuban government?

Best thing I bought at CPAC was a Washington Times coffee cup.

When I'm in DC on Saturday, I always look for a paper machine that still has Friday's WT in it. If I go home with the Friday and Saturday papers, it's a good Saturday night. It just has a better op-ed, editorial and letters to the editor pages than the competition.

What did the sign (that you in a gentlemanly manner gave away) actually say?

What did the pinko lady do with your sign after she received it?

Just curious...

good questions....

let's see if she'll protest (something...anything) on a corner in Cuba. "Oh, wait a minute......" she might be saying to herself...."I could get hurt or executed. better stick to protesting in this country......you know, where it's safe and I can get myself on daytime TV."

Bring a video camera to record their acts of harassment (and find out the laws on using a hidden camera in a public place). If you gave the video to a local news channel (or even Fox) it might end up on the news. It's worth a try.

What is it about those Deming's of Takoma Park and those of their ilk?

Doctor, someone axed me (that's D.C. talk) if you were a real doctor and I speculated that if she meant medical doctor that no, that was probably not so. I further offered the remark that to my tenuous memory yours was a doctorate of letters; with Philology as your preferred subject, and yet further suggested that a diligent search of the internet just might turn up a monograph or two of yours somewhere on that subject. I even still further suggested that the Takoma Park Demings were a rather more activist and mature conservative part of that extended family than other branches.

Sorry to extend the legend without your permission.

Intellectual Regards, (sort of)

I believe there's a little confusion here. I sent an email that covered the unAmerican and unpartriotic antics of both A.N.S.W.E.R. and CodePink. It was an email longer than could be accomodated by the column.

THEY DID ATTEMPT TO TAKE OUR SIGNS BY BRUTE FORCE, but it wasn't my sign and they were not successful.

The A.N.S.W.E.R. marchers stole an American flag from the hands of a Vet and tore it up in front of him and then taunted him with the pieces. TELL ME AGAIN HOW THE ANTI-WAR PROTESTERS ARE PARTIOTIC, BECAUSE NOT ONE OF THEIR COMRADES SAID ANYTHING TO THEM EXCEPT "YEA, GOOD, WAY TO GO".

The US Park Police let it go because the A.N.S.W.E.R. march was an angry mob to begin with and decided that letting the flag go was better than a riot.

At the CodePink march there was a scuffle between their side and Kristinn, but he managed to hold on to his sign.

When tgsltakoma attenpted to photograph the assailant, the CodePink marchers used the violent tactics of the anarchists, shoving, pushing and elbowing her to prevent her from identifying the person.

They really screwed up because they did it in front of a reporter identifying himself as with Time and in front a photographer who has had her work published by Time. From their concern while interviewing us afterwards, I'm sure tha CodePink marchers made a VERY NEGATIVE impression on at least two members of the Fourth Estate.

Shielding their more violent participants is typical of their mob rule mentality, as is their "Whose streets, our streets" chants and calls for violence when police are outnumbered but not when the numbers are even.

I had my sign poked and prodded and others had theirs pulled.

DC CHAPTER SURPRISE FREEP OF CODE PINK "PEACE" MARCH --
Taking Place Now -- 3/8/2003

DC Chapter ^ | March 8, 2003 | Angelwood
Posted on 03/08/2003 10:39 AM PST by Angelwood

Members of the DC Chapter of Free Republic are conducting a surprise FReep of the March for Peace organized by NOW and the Code Pink Ladies and it is going on as I type.

The Now and Code Pink Ladies will be joined by Raelian women (and Raelian men in touch with their feminine side) who plan a disrobing ceremony in front of the White House. Reports from the scene tell me that there's a bunch of Howard Stern fans who came to the White House today for the unveiling.

Positioned on the North side of Lafayette Park, inside the barriers, and ready to greet the "Peace" marchers are: Jimmy Valentine's brother, kristinn, tgslTakoma, daughterofTGSL, Cal, Exit148, Doctor Raoul and BillF. They have been interviewed already by Agence France-Presse and have had some spirited debates.

Lafayette Park is surrounded by a barricade fence and those marching will be confined to H Street, N.W. and 15th and 17th Streets. There are smaller groups (remember the 24 or less protest rule) currently allowed inside Lafayette Park and in front of the White House. If there is a confrontation, the DC Chapter members have been told they will be moved.

There are lots of smaller groups of people coming to the march, but they don't seem to know where it is and they are asking the FReepers for directions. Courteous as always, we are telling them "It's 12 blocks up and turn left at Bagdad."

The FReepers are armed with signs saying:

Code Pink Doesn't Care

The Pink Ladies Have RED Blood on Their Hands

Suzie "Medea" Benjamin Has Blood on Her Hands (she actually gave blood in Iraq a few weeks ago)

Code Pink Supports the Rape of Iraqi Women by Saddam's Torturers

The media is out in force for this march. Most of the tourists have come to see the naked Raelians.

The march was supposed to start at 1 p.m. but they have not reached the White House yet...

I'm not saying yes or no, but I got Laura Ingraham to believe it. Damn near had a heart attack when she stripped to the waist.

Or was that Rita Cosbey......

At least she found a use for the duct tape.

"Big Dyke For Peace"

Now here's where things get really interesting...

Right before the assault and battery on Kristinn and me.

The folks marching with the violent guy closed ranks around him to keep me from getting photo.

He turns his head away, woman in pink jacket shoves me backwards

Then this beauty comes up and pushes me.

As she's shoving me back, somebody else has grabbed my purse which I have over my neck and shoulder.

The rat-haired beauty tries to block my view of the A & B perp.

Bad guy stood this way for a few minutes. So I waited quietly..

Still waiting...

Gotcha!

Gotcha again!

Smile, dummy. Do you smile in your mugshots, too?

Still holding the sign that the leftists tried to tear out of his hands.

Next post will have my last few shots. It all ends peacefully.
