more name calling. You seem like a real nice guy.
Nascar is fixed because it is tinkered with. One car has a advantage for awhile till they others moan, then another brand has a advantage.

I dont believe it is every race and all the time but there is some monkey business going on under the hoods and from the officals.

I notice you did not disprove what was said about the jr but instead resorted to namecalling.

That is a liberal tactic. Have you been or are you know a liberal?

more name calling.

I'm just making an observation.

You seem like a real nice guy.

I'm glad a false accusor such as yourself doesn't consider me a nice guy.

Nascar is fixed because it is tinkered with. One car has a advantage for awhile till they others moan, then another brand has a advantage.

That's not a "fix", that's keeping the competition even for better racing. You don't actually believe those cars are "stock", do you? They can't be stock, we'd have drivers being killed left and right if they were stock. Sometime a make will have temporary advantages over other makes, but a driver still have to beat the other drivers of his make.

I dont believe it is every race and all the time but there is some monkey business going on under the hoods and from the officals.

You don't know what you're talking about. You're a false accusor.

I notice you did not disprove what was said about the jr but instead resorted to namecalling.

Becuase idiots like you won't listen, you look for conspiracies behind every bush. If you want an explanation, here it is, but I know you won't even think about what I'm about to say, your conspiracy theories are much more fun, aren't they? The reason why DEI and Childress do well at restrictor plate tracks is because they instituted a RAD program for several years Richard Childress, Andy Petree, and Dale Earnhardt (RAD) combined resources and testing time to improve their restrictor plate program to help Dale finally win a Daytona 500. Most teams only test the number of cars in their immediate team, so this combination provided these teams with up to triple the testing time for years at these tracks. Hence the result that all three teams have dominated restrictor plate racing since '98. Even Andy Petree got a win with Bobby Hamilton and Kenny Wallace got a 2nd one year. Now other teams are combining their testing at restrictor plate races. They're duplicating what RAD was. And as far as Earnhardt's damage goes, what damage? Once they put the black strip on, the car was fine again. He didn't lead until they got the fender to stop flapping. Did you see Biffle's car, it was totally beat up and he ran in the top five all day untill he finally overheated. Like Darrell Waltrip, said, that car was a pig in a blanket, but it still was the fastest car for a while. And yellow line...several cars went below the yellow line and didn't get pnalized. Steve Park (a DEI car) was the only car to get penalized. Jeff Gordon did the exact same thing as Earnhardt did earlier when he passed Mikey, he moved down below the yellow line after getting beside Mikey. And Mikey even crashed and they still didn't penalize Gordon, as well they shouldn't have. Gordon didn't move down to improve his position and neither did Earnhardt, they both moved down when the car above them moved toward them, which is legal.

That is a liberal tactic. Have you been or are you know a liberal?

Being stupid is a liberal characteristic. Why do you choose to believe idiocy?

So the bottom line is I chose to see nascar one way and you see it another.
I admitted earlier that I dont think the manipulation is as bad as some think. But I do think it goes on.
You should have explained why you felt the way you do to begin with but instead you resorted to name calling right out of the gate therefore you lose in any civilized debate.
You may have the last word after this. I will not argue with you. If memory serves me correct that is the way you "win".

The bottom line is that you choose to accuse people of cheating with no evidence. And you admonish others not to sin in your tagline...hypocrite!

I admitted earlier that I dont think the manipulation is as bad as some think. But I do think it goes on.

Think all you want. But when you throw out false accusations in post after post, you're in the rhelm of lies.

You should have explained why you felt the way you do to begin with but instead you resorted to name calling right out of the gate therefore you lose in any civilized debate.

Ha! You didn't even attempt to think about why things are happening the way they are, you immediately chose the false-accusation route. I don't care if you think I'm civilized or not because I think what people like you are doing doesn't get any worse. I've been going at it all year with people just like you and they won't listen to reason. I guess I'll have to get used to this jealousy if the #8 team continues to do well but I still don't think this is any way for people like you to be sports fans. There's plenty of enemies in theis world, there's no reason to make them up in NASCAR. The people of NASCAR are good people and to falsely accuse them like you do is profoundly unfair.

You may have the last word after this. I will not argue with you. If memory serves me correct that is the way you "win".

Win? No, I think the way to win is to know what one is talking about. One of us does, and one of us doesn't.

The only diversity I need in NASCAR is Ford or Chevy.

You left out MOPAR. A clear cut case of makism!

I think we should put Je$$e in a race car and tell him he can race, but he has to keep his car between #8 and #24 at all times. That should make things fun.

"But the one that got me was when he won the race his dad died in. His car blew by everyone everytime he needed to then he would slow down to keep from lapping everyone. It was so obvious and I lost a lot of respect."

Be honest, you don't watch racing that much, do you?

Amen! I can't stand these "Nascar conspiracy" dolts.

A consequence of more widespread popularity, I suppose. Maybe it was better off being regional for us longer-term fans, where people have better mechanical common sense.

Did ya see where ESPN , who was passed over by NASCAR in the 2000 contract cycle, is starting their own racing series.

Dodge Vipers, Ford Mustangs and Chevy Corvettes. Should be interesting how this goes over.

I'll try and stick the article in here if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Oh. PS, Thanks for dabbling in conspiratorial things on this thread. LOL

One can never have enough conspiracies these days to speculate on. :-)

Here we go...

ESPN to launch stock-car venture

I want Chris Berman as one of the track announcers!!

NOTEBOOK
ESPN to launch stock-car venture
TEAM RACING AUTO CIRCUIT BEGINS IN 2004; NASCAR GOES EASY ON GORDON'S CREW CHIEF
Mercury News Wire Services

ESPN, jilted by NASCAR in 2000 after helping to raise Winston Cup to the popularity it enjoys today, has a new and innovative stock-car-racing league to nurture.

The Team Racing Auto Circuit (TRAC) will begin racing in May 2004, on Saturday afternoons and evenings, with its races televised by ESPN. The season will have 12 regular-season races ending in August and one all-star event.

TRAC plans to begin with six teams of four cars each. Races will involve all 24 cars, and victories will be determined on the combined order of finish of the entire teams, rather than individual victories. Franchises will be located geographically -- say, Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, etc. The cars will be modified Chevrolet Corvettes, Ford Mustangs and Dodge Vipers.

Most of the tracks used will be Speedway Motorports Inc. facilities. SMI has tracks in Charlotte, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Fort Worth and Bristol, Tenn. Tracks such as Daytona and Talladega will not host events. Those facilities are owned by International Speedway Corp., which is controlled by NASCAR.

The drivers are expected to be those who can't find rides in the Busch or Craftsman Truck series, or lower-tier IRL competitors, road racers and sprint car drivers.

Gordon's near miss

Jeff Gordon's victory Sunday in the Virginia 500 would have been a lot harder to pull off if NASCAR officials hadn't been gracious.

They called for Gordon's crew chief, Robbie Loomis, twice at the start of the drivers' meeting before Loomis finally materialized, barking ``Here'' as he stormed into the meeting and took a seat.

The rest of the drivers and crew chiefs joined in a chorus of ``Oooooooh'' and laughed at the near miss. NASCAR could have sent Gordon to the back of the field if Loomis had been late for the mandatory meeting.

``I was getting a little nervous,'' Gordon said. ``Usually it's the other way around -- he's looking for me, going `Where's Jeff?' -- and I show up just in the nick of time. He was just getting me back.''

Kanaan recovering

IRL driver Tony Kanaan was released from Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Wednesday after surgery on his broken left arm. He could return to his race car during the first week of practice for the Indianapolis 500.

Kanaan was injured in a crash Sunday with Scott Dixon at the Japan Indy 300.

If it's more stock, it could be interesting.

People just don't care what they accuse others of anymore.

Looks interesting, but I like NASCAR's free-lance system of qualifying better. Anyone who's fast gets to race in NASCAR. I'll check this out. ESPN helped build modern NASCAR. It'll be interesting to watch near-stock cars race again.
