"In a letter soliciting Southern Democrats to join his new 'campaign advisory committee,'" Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., "asserts that he is a different kind of Southerner than" former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, R-Miss., newsobserver.com reports.
Different kind of Southerner means:
1) Lives in multi-million dollar house in Georgetown
2) Votes in line with Ted Kennedy
3) Gets most of his financial support from California
4) Boycotts states that fly the Confederate flag
5) Jokes that he will make Jeff Gordon Secretary of State.
6) Hires Los Angeles joke writer to develop jokes for the Gridiron Dinner, which explains #5.

Let us hope Lil' Johnny Edwards see the folly in this and withdraws. If not, something real bad, like total political destruction, may happen to him.

I'd love to see a side by side ad airing in Michigan. Geoffrey Fieger and Edwards face morphing into one another.
Fieger's hated here and even lost Ann Arbor in his gubnetorial race.

EDWARDS' KIND OF SOUTH
By JOHN WAGNER
In a letter soliciting Southern Democrats to join his new "campaign advisory committee," U.S. Sen. John Edwards asserts that he is a different kind of Southerner than Trent Lott, the former Senate majority leader from Mississippi.
"I am certain you were just as angry as I was when Senator Lott implied the country would be better off if Strom Thurmond's racist presidential race had prevailed," Edwards writes, referencing the controversy late last year that cost Lott his job as the Republican's leader. "It is no wonder that the rest of America has such a stereotypical view of Southerners. You and I must show America that the Old South of Trent Lott and Strom Thurmond is in the past, and the New South can produce true leaders who can unite and not divide."
Serving on Edwards' presidential advisory committee apparently will not be too onerous. "As a member, you will receive periodic briefings on the campaign," the letter notes. "And we also welcome your comments and input. No meetings or formal duties are required."
Lives in multi-million dollar house in Georgetown
Lives in a mult-million dollar house in Raleigh.
Lives in a multi-million dollar vacation home on a private island off the coast of North Carolina.
"It is no wonder that the rest of America has such a stereotypical view of Southerners lawyers

Secretary of State Jeff Gordon? Isn't he that little guy who got sued for divorce on grounds of "marital misconduct"?
Does anyone in North Carolina know what that even means?

opie is an idiot who, if he got the rat nomination, could not win North Carolina. He won't win reelection, which is the real reason he is making believe he is running for president. Come Jan 05, opie will slither back into a courtroom somewhere and go back to sucking blood.

Jeff Gordon isn't from North Carolina. But what it means is he was cheating on his wife.

For all members of the "advisory committee," here is one of the "periodic briefings" you were promised: THE AMBULANCE CHASER IS AT THE BOTTOM OF EVERY POLL, and the Republicans will take his Senate seat next year.

On Brit Hume's show tonight the New Hampshire poll of all the dem candidates put Edwards at rock bottom with 2%. I'm betting that Edwards is thinking he can lose NH and pick up SC. Johnny Boy may have the most to fear from Reverand Al if he hopes to pick up SC.

Someone told me that cheating on your wife with a woman would be called adultery. Cheating on your wife with someone or something else would be marital misconduct.
