FReep of Ramsey Clark, DC Chapter After-Action Report
BillF | May 12, 2003 | BillF

Posted on 05/12/2003 2:59:28 PM PDT by BillF

Today at noon, FReepers of the DC Chapter converged to the front of the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

Traitor, friend of anti-American dictators everywhere, founder of Communist-front International Action Center (IAC), former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark spewed his usual slanders against our great and good country and its great and good military and President.

Clark had previously spoken these lies at numerous of the antiwar protests organized by IAC-offshoot Communist-front International Action Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER).

Free Republic’s DC Chapter has repeatedly opposed ANSWER beginning shortly after September 11, 2001 when they opposed U.S. action against Afghanistan.

The honor roll of attendance at today’s gathering of eagles: Angelwood, Kristinn, and BillF. (Although a larger turnout is always nice, the event was at a bad time and we only became aware of this event two days ago. Under the circumstances, we were pleased to be able to hold any FReep.)

The traitor’s speech was scheduled for 12:30. I arrived shortly after 12 followed shortly by Angelwood. A few minutes later Kristinn arrived.

About 12:20 or so, we had not seen Clark and we believed that he likely had arrived before us, perhaps by an hour or more. Angelwood and I continued holding signs, while Kristinn went inside the building. Before leaving with copies of David Horowitz’ new pamphlet Who is the Peace Movement?, he left some copies of the pamphlet for us to hand out.

Just after Kristinn went into the building, a bus pulled up and quite a few people got out wearing tags saying “Close Up” (I think that it is related to a CSPAN operation). Many were interested in our signs and engaged us in discussion about Clark. They asked for copies of the Horowitz pamphlet and we handed out quite a few.

As other people passed by we shouted “Ramsey Clark traitor is inside now,” “Defender of Milosovich,” “Friend of Saddam,” “Friend of Castro,” “Supporter of every anti-American dictator on the planet,” and similar phrases.

Quite a few people were supportive. Some were indifferent, but I saw no negative reactions.

One guy, possibly a Cuban-American, discussed Castro’s tyranny and he expressed disgust at Clark’s support for Castro.

A guy in a group of men dressed in business suits passed by when we were quiet and said “you should be chanting.” We immediately chanted “IMPEACH RAMSEY CLARK, THE TRAITOR.” The guy indicated his approval.

My sign, based on Sauropod’s suggestion, said::

IMPEACH RAMSEY CLARK – ANTI-U.S. TRAITOR with Free Republic’s web address below.

I’ll let Angelwood describe her signs, some of which were also held by Kristinn.

Kristinn came out of the building about 10 minutes after going in with copies of Horowitz’ pamphlets. He had handed out quite a few while inside.

About 20 minutes after Kristinn returned, I left the scene as a CNS reporter was talking to Angelwood and Kristinn.

Before discussing Kristinn’s activities inside the building, I’ll mention some background. A week back, I had noted in an FR post that Kristinn had appeared on MSNBC’s Scarborough Country. Together with other DC FReepers, Kristinn FReeped the White House Press Corps and handed out Garofalo awards. He then stunned all with his great appearance on Fox and Friends.

In my post I asked Kristinn “When do you land on the carrier?”

In an audacious move, Kristinn had walked up to Ramsey Clark inside the building and handed him the Horowitz pamphlet. I’ll let Kristinn describe the details of handing the pamphlets to Clark and other Communist traitors.

It may not have been landing on a carrier, but I’m in shock and awe.

The format of these luncheons lets people like Clark get away with rhetorical murder. The moderator chose to forward softball questions and not pose legitimate follow up questions. His evasive answer about his group's funding was left unchallenged when he should have been pressed on it.

Ramsey "I Crave The Taste Of Blood-Splattered Jack-Boots" Clark was well freeped. Here's the thread.

(Hope your television is still intact. I find yelling with my face inches from the screen to be less destructive than launching projectiles, although it's necessary to have windex handy.)

I liked the bit where he said he wasn't going to "demonize" Saddam, Fidel, Farrakhan, etc.--doesn't believe in demonizing people, he said with a straight face after he demonized President Bush all through his speech.

And then he went on to viciously demonize Ariel Sharon.

The pattern is obivious. Ramsey won't "demonize," or in any way criticize, brutal and muderous dictators, but elected leaders of liberal democracies that oppose terrorism and totalitarianism are branded as evil.

I offered Ms. Verheyden-Hilliard a pamphlet

The WashPost offered her something much better - a puff piece titled "Stirring a Cause" (click for full article) in Monday's paper. Portions of the article included:

The D.C. police want everyone out of 18th Street NW, and they mean now. They're pushing their batons hard against rib cages and backs. They're grabbing shoulders and shoving.

SNIP

The crowd surges away from the batons. But a thin, intense woman dressed in business black charges against the tide, directly at the blue police line. She whips out a camera and starts snapping, until an officer shoves her between two cars.[emphasis added]

SNIP

Law school won't prepare you for a workout like this, but it's all in a day's work for a movement lawyer like Mara Verheyden-Hilliard. [emphasis added]

SNIP REMAINDER OF ARTICLE

The article is probably worth reading. Not to see how much hero worship the Post can bestow on its far-left friends (ANSWER = a huge amount), but for some interesting tidbits about suits she has filed against DC area police.

Then again, is the Post article accurately describing those cases?

I have seen a lot of creepy women in my life. You know, the eyes, the manner, the arogance, etc., but Mara Verheyden-Hilliard fits into #2 on my all time list. Of course, you know who is #1.

I would have been sure to inform Ramsey's "supporters" that their hero got his forture because his family was a LOBBYIST FOR TEXAS OIL INTERESTS and that he was only APPOINTED A.G. GENERAL BECAUSE HIS FATHER HAD HELD THE POST. Plus he whole-heartily back Johnson's Vietnam policy while he was "serving" under him. Funny how he changed his mind AFTER he was out of power.

The disgusting liberal pukes love to attack Bush over simular things (being a politician's kid who got rich from oil interests), but evidentially it's OKAY when their hero Ramsey does it.

I had a great time doing just that about a month ago.

Our rally was bigger than the Bush-haters across the Plaza and when the bikers supporting us roared by on their Harley's the canyon of buildings surrounding us created an incredible echo. You could almost see the creeps shrink.

Way to go Kristinn. Too bad you didn't get to stick around and see the expression on Ramsey Clark's face when he got an eyeful of the booklet on his group.

Also, you have a lot of courage, coming in contact with Ramsey Clark, Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, and Brian Becker all at the same time. I hope you took one of those Silkwood type showers afterwards.

Well, it sounds to me like kristin landed right on that carrier, Ramsey Crock, carrier of anti-American, anti-Bush lies.

Excellent work, you guys!

If though you mixed up your Clarks, you got this part right:

This guy is a short little punk with no gonads

(I'm pretty sure Ramsey Crock was AG under LBJ.)
