You did send me a very nice apology, and I was willing to let that be the end of it, until you started posting the same trash to others on the open forum.
Considering the gay bashing and general disrupting you have engaged in all week it is mild, even educational. As I told you in my reply to your original FReepmail, you appear to have me confused with someone else. If you believe I'm wrong, please post examples of my "gay-bashing", or where I've called anyone any of the names you reference. You people sit back and call people crazy, sleazy, looser, scum bag, jerk(jerk off) etc. with impunity and cry foul in your duplicitous way when you get bettered....
My "disruption" of this thread consisted of pointing out that Amber Frey is not the villain in this case, as she doesn't seem to be suspected of having anything to do with the murder of Laci Peterson.
I hear this is how you'll ruined the DW threads along with fresnoDA(who is banned), or that is what I am hearing.
Again, you appear to have me confused with someone else. I may have posted once or twice on a DW thread, but I certainly wasn't a "regular" there.
I will not return another post on this matter.
That certainly won't hurt my feelings.
I know you were not involved in those threads, Amelia, and this hysteria seems to be coming from someone getting information fed to him without his knowing the history or the players well enough to not be confused.
.......that eat their own so don't expect rational discussion nor courtesy here.
Your apologies to those who received your Frmail dim in light of your latest attack here.
Second....your 'pluck yew story' is pure crappola. YOU may find the "etimological denotation so intellectually stimulating and emotionally calming"----others find it no more than a smelly pile of bovine feces. Goes to show---you can lie about most anything on the internet, no?
This has gone around the net for a while and resurfaces every few years when someone too lazy to do the research brings it out to try and impress someone. See Urban Legends HERE
Comments: Pay no attention to the pseudo-academic bluster about pheasant pluckers, labiodental fricatives and the English longbow; this is a clever and amusing spoof, not to be taken seriously.Jesse Sheidlower, author of "The F-Word" (Random House: 1999), says the "totally ludicrous" tale erroneously conflates the etymology of the f-word with an older bit of folklore, itself questionable, purporting to trace the origin of the European "two-finger salute" (roughly analagous to "flipping the bird" in America) back to the taunts of British archers against the French during the Hundred Years' War, 1336-1565.
Etymologists say the f-word found its way into the English language from Dutch or Low German during the 14th century and made its first written appearance around 1500. The word pluck, on the other hand, is of Latin derivation and there is no known linguistic connection between the two English words. It's doubtful the expression "Pluck yew" was ever uttered before 1996, when this apocryphal story first went into circulation.
The middle-finger gesture, which apparently has had phallic connotations in every culture in which it has been used, is much older. We know it dates back at least to ancient Greece, where it was referenced in "The Clouds," a play written by Aristophanes in 423 B.C. It was also well known to the Romans, who referred to it variously as digitus infamis ("infamous finger") and digitus impudicus ("indecent finger"). In all likelihood its origins were prehistoric.

As usual you are rash....Etimology is part of history and subject to different interpretations by different sources...Take the word "law" for instance. I have seen it traced back to "logic"(by the Jesuits SJ) by some "child birth" by others and more, they all claim to be right!....I am no longer interested in discussing this or any other subject with you. So as per JR intructions...you are warned...Yes he has a list of your names also... seems like other Freepers have complaied I am told...
I got this Etimology off of FR with source....But I guess you can't be too careful....about 4 months ago. I will certainly check again!
One more time by any of you its the abuse button.
The above is excerpted from Post #1030. Could you clarify please?
ROTF!!! I had that thought 2 days ago :)
Did you get that weird feeling in your stomach?
I was effectively required to employ him. I didn't want to, but I had no choice in the matter. I should have resigned. Seriously. I knew what he was from the start, I just didn't realize the depths of it. It was pretty deep. It does not get any deeper.
Was this person a relative, or did he just snow the living hell out of the owners? Btw, I feel your pain...
Lololol, "memoriesssssssssss". (no apologies to Barbra Streisand)
I was the "manager" of a "satellite office" for a national stock brokerage firm.
That is a very bad position to be in. You have no real authority. The manager of the parent office is the one who really runs the show. You own the consequences.
In this case, the manager of the parent office would keep the good hires to himself, and he would shunt the marginal hires my way. I could interview them, but I really had nothing to say about whether they were hired. That was ultimately his decision.
I got the crap and the cast-off's. Some of them turned out to be pretty good after all. Quite good.
This one person I'm talking about is not one of those.
