FReep the Chicken D's !! Saturday, June 7, 2003 ~ 1:00 p.m.
The Houston Area Texans Chapter of the Free Republic Network will hold what may be our FReep of the Year. The Harris County Democratic Party is throwing a welcome home rally for the Texas Democrats that trashed the Constitution and screwed Texans out of their deserved representation.
We MUST let these Democrats know that Texans DO NOT support their perfidious activity.
Date: Saturday June 7, 2003 Time: 1:00 p.m. Place: Holiday Inn ~ 7787 Katy Freeway ( MAP )

This is a developing FReep and there are a few details to work out.
We will need to find a legal parking area. I will try to get by there in my daily travels to scout for locations. Anyone else that passes the area (I-10 at Silber) is welcome to offer suggestions.
We could pitch in for a room at the Holiday Inn or a neighboring hotel so we can cool off, take restroom breaks etc.
Some chicken costumes would be hot but attention getting.
Should we have flags or would passers-by see that as a sign of support?
Sign suggestions welcome!
Come to our meeting this Saturday for further discussion.

I think we can probably get some non-FReepers to join us, too. Suggestions for other interested parties are welcome.

Oh, the possibilities!
I'll have to cogitate on this, but I have no doubt we can come
up with some epic presentations for these weasels.

Chris Baker at KPRC has been on a tear on the Chicken D's. If nothing else, he might be willing to encourage his audience to come "welcome" them.

Stage a funeral for the Death of the Democratic Process.
Hold a trial and find the Killer Ds guilty as charged.
Make it into a Fried Chicken D cookoff.
Give out a Joe Moreno award to the one who eats the most chicken.
Have a Martin Frost Aide Theft Prevention workshop.

There were no mints on the pillows at night and a couple of Republicans yelled at us in the parking lot. The horror, the horror...

We ran out of clean underwear
and had to buy some more at the Ardmore WalMart.
Yes, yes, that was brave and heroic, we know.

We gotta have chickens or maybe tar and feathers? Something catchy to grab media attention (but not too hot to stand outside in/with).
FREEPERS *HAVE* TO MAKE THE NEWS WITH THIS ONE!
