Cuomo attended the annual state Rural Democratic Conference, where he won a straw poll over Carl McCall last year.

Andy's political instincts are zilch. He got into the gov race by attacking Pataki saying Pataki did nothing but hold Rudy's coat during the 9/11 aftermath.

The angry feedback he got was predictable. An instinctive politican would have done focus group research on the statement, to test reaction, before putting it out for public consumption.
