[history]
Those damnable jerks. You'd think they'd be grateful. You'd think they'd applaud and cheer wildly and grovel and offer us their prettiest first-born daughters or at least politely and on bended knee acknowledge our big oily happy capitalist Christian largesse.

Did you know that fully seven of the eight major Muslim-dominated nations are now actually fearful of a U.S. attack? The horror. Thanks for the good news. Congratulation to Bush and company are in order.

(Why does this tag line keep showing up?)
To: demlosers
Why? I'll tell you why. Because of opinion columns like this in every socialist/communist newspaper in the world, that's why.

Anything that makes Morford this bitchy has got to be filled with goodness and light.
Either that or he's run out of Pamprin again.

Lot of whistling in the dark, IMHO. The nations of the axis of evil have a right to be afraid....very afraid.

Seven of the eight major Muslim-dominated nations are now actually fearful of a U.S. attack? Damn it GW. You have failed us! Why doesn't that eight Islamofacist nation not fear a US attack! (Sarcasm off!)
Shock and Awe as delivered by our military as per GW/Rummy has a wonderful effect on those who wish to kill us.

It would be fine with me if they DID like us.
I sleep much better at night now, knowing at least they FEAR us.

Why? Because girly-men like this writer know that W can kick their streisand with both boots tied behind his back, and they're jealous.

More of the same, Consertives are Nazis, Bush is Hitler.
To: demlosers
The only time the world loves us is when we have a liberal President, we are blindly dumping billions into the U.N. and agreeing with everything they say, we are silent on our support for Israel, and our military is allowed to decline and not get involved (except for U.N. designated missions or course). They
really hate us when we have a strong President (such as Reagan and Bush), we aren't the U.N.'s lapdog, we support Israel, and actually flex our military muscle worldwide.
Therefore, having the world hate us is actually a contrarian indicator that we are doing everything right at home with our leadership. Our strength makes the other countries look impotent (as they are). God bless President Bush, and keep up the good work! (But fix our borders!)

This is a dweeb's version of "gonzo journalism".
So much "attitude" here that for a while you don't really know quite what he's saying, or whether his tongue is firmly planted in his cheek, or in fact sticking out right at you. A swaggering, wised-up, fake tough-guy rhetoric that is a poor excuse for journalism.
To: demlosers
Every time I see this guy's column posted here on FR I get physically ill. His attitude reminds me entirely too much of what I left behind when I fled the Bay Area and the kind of intolerance that my husband (because he's a straight white conservative male...oh the horror!!!) had to endure when he worked for the SF Comical. That those ignorant, intolerant, psycho, sicko maniacs at that filthy organization would actually pay this guy to write just makes me sick.
To: demlosers
I have always looked with contempt upon gay-bashing.
However...I'd be willing to close my eyes while someone popped this jerk right in the kisser.
Although I'd advise the guy to wear latex gloves.
