Good Grief! Banning all songs because students want to sing something inspirational that has a reference to God? Sheesh. Maybe next time, the female students should all wear burkas and quote from the Qu'ran. I bet the ACLU would stand up and applaud that!
I bet these are the same affiliated people who said that a marine couldn't wear his dress uniform at graduation.
And for those who don't like a certain singer, that's fine. It leaves more for us who do appreciate her God-given talents.

McPherson then passed the lyrics along to the attorney
That was their main mistake......

Separation of church and state? Where is the school teaching religion? These people are Nazis. Plain and simple. They hate faith...First we can thank the anti-American ACLU for schools going to far.
Secondly, many of these liberal nazis believe "If you allow this song to be sung, before you know it the government will be handing out Bibles and Crucifixes to every student in the USA AND teaching them Judeo-Christian principals". The old slippery slope theory that both sides use.
What really bugs the libs (aka ACLU) are the 10 Commandments, not the possibility that the government will endorse and teach one particular religion. Deep inside their scrawny little minds they know they break numerous commandments every day and they do not want anyone, not even God, to tell them they are doing wrong.
Of course, even deeper inside their rodent brains they worry what will happen when they are judged.

Christian's are accepting their immoral leadership and our churches have become State churches , which is why they are mute.
It's not strange, we were warned.
We just haven't heard yet.
I guess that's why they call us sheep.
Imagine what the world could be , if we were called brothers & sisters.
As I believe God wanted it.
Most churches today spew "Pray for our government". It's always bothered me that our Lord gave us rules to live by yet we ignore them and elect perverts , adulterers , thieves and so on , turning around and praying to God to once again fix OUR lack of purpose.
I found Christ through other avenues than the Bible , so I can't beat anyone over the head with it to explain our problems. I was explaining what I see to someone and this is what he sent me: 1 Samuel 8:18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.
We have continued to turn our backs on God and when things get worse we ask Him to straighten it out.
I don't know how He could make our situation any plainer.
It's time to grow up America or get buried in the crap WE have created.
God's waiting............

She lives, he dies, the boat goes down. I was wondering how that movie ended.

I give up, Mr. Cat.

They should sing the song anyway and force the hate-filled spiral-eyed liberal idiots to expose themselves for all to see. Open defiance of this sort of nonsense is the order of the day.

SPOTREP - I am singing this song myself next Sunday.

Beautifully said! He is coming.

Or plan a sneeze chain, and 30 seconds of some loud, "God bless you"s.

Indeed.
Peace is worth the price and the only One offering Peace is Jesus Christ.

Remember singing in the choir at my brother's graduation. We sang "In the Garden." The community was rural too. Sorry that ACLJ couldn't do anything because of the cowardice of the school officials to face the repercussions of their decision.

She has a magnificent voice and that song from Titanic is beautiful. Why do you have to demean something just for the sake of it.

Ah, that's the beauty of conservatism. Were I a liberal, I'd impose a tax on you until you couldn't afford Celine anymore.

I agree with you Hildy. I think Celine Dion is the absolute diva! That woman was born with an incredible gifted voice. I am in utter awe of her each and every time I hear her sing! And I think she is quite funny. The times I have seen her interviewed, I have liked her very much. I'd say Josh Groban is her equal in male voice. He is only like 20 years old but what a voice. Another truly gifted from the good Lord above!

Worst than Nazis. They are mindless bureaucrats. The only way to deal with them is to mobilize enough opinion to get them fired.
