Hillary's local book-signing attracts protesters, proceeds like clockwork

The guy wearing the devil costume out on Pennsylvania Avenue yesterday was adamant.

"Enter the bookstore and take two steps down — morally and socially," he hollered into a bullhorn.

The mannerly crowd outside Trover Shop Books on Capitol Hill gazed back at him, clutching precious orange vouchers that proved they had already paid for "Living History," Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's new memoir.

You are not up to speed on the history of the "Devil Suit" or the fact that its appearance (and its wearer) drives Hillary crazy. Look in the archives under D.C. Chapter or Dr. Raoul for a little more information.

Mrs. Clinton, dressed in a navy blue pantsuit with a white-and-gold scarf, was seated at a table in the very back, her legs and feet hidden by a strategically placed publicity poster.

Must have been a very large poster!

I understand exactly why people do it...however it makes us look childish, silly and stupid to the other side.

Why can't we rise above it? The lefty peaceniks stooped to such resorts in their protests of the war. I think we can get our point across far better if we don't stoop to such things.

Notice the condescending way they only point to the fact that the guy is in a devil suit??? They don't even cover the message because they don't have to...if they can make us appear "silly", no one cares what we have to say anyhow.

I believe that such tactics only serve to give the media reason to cover ANYTHING BUT our message. Which is what happened in the DC FReeping.

I understand what they were trying to do, however the media's reporting of it poo-pooed them as nothing more than childish pranks. I just feel we gain more creditability if we come off as NORMAL citizens. Leave the collegic-type tactics to the far left.

That's my opinion, take it for what it's worth, but I don't see the media even reporting on the numbers of FReepers there, what other types of people were there. I mean, were there women and children???? How many? Business men? Blue collar workers, white collar workers??? Did the FReepers cover cross cultural boundaries??? I don't know because all the media focused on was "the guy in the devil suit".

Yes, it's cute & clever...but lost on the left and the left media.... writing 101 (and jouranlism 101) "Before you write, know who your intended audiance is".

You over estimate the left and their ability to understand the humor and take it as such.

Suit yourself....but when this hits the 5pm news on WGN, Chicago NBC, ABC & CBS....I assure you the only person that will have appeared to be there protesting is you. They will make no mention of me and my daughters or anyone else that the media deems "mainstream" being there. It will all be about the woman in the witch suit.

In reading this story, to me, it almost appears as if the devil was the only protestor.

The only media that might accurately protray the numbers will be WLS. Has anyone contacted Jay Marvin, Eileen Byrnes, Don & Roma, Teri O'Brien, Deborah Rowe, or Roe & Gary???? I bet they'd come down and see what we were up to. Deborah & Teri especially...they loathe the "woman".

BTW, please don't take my opinion as a personal attack on those FReepers that choose to dress up....it's an attack on the medial and lefties for the fact that they are not clever enough to understand the witt & sarcasm behind these costumes.

Heck, if I thought it'd not be lost on them, I'd show up on the 28th in my full Pooh Bear suit with a sign that read "Hillary's book should be put under Children's Fantasy"

It'd be a lost effort...although might be worth it to embarrass my daughters ....hehehehe ....I love being a mom!!! They'd be standing over by the FReepers that weren't in costume and I'd be by Chicagolady in her witch costume...course I'd have to keep pointing out that "those are my daughters over there" LOL

Well, when you drag your ass out there and do the protesting maybe we'll listen. Until then shut up. These folks been on the Clintons case for years. I commend them for it. There is always one that has to claim they know what is best for others. (Hmm kinda sounds like the person getting Freeped)

And for what it is worth the boot licking Press has ALWAYS put the Clinton Protesters in the worst possible light. But here is a hint, Nobody but you cares. The Message is to Hitlary. We won't go away, we won't be silent.

Deal with it.

But here is a hint, Nobody but you cares.

Ahhh, not true....there are MANY who care...I'm just one who won't go away or be silent either.....The mainstream population cares and is VERY turned off by BOTH SIDE's radical extremes.

The Message is to Hitlary. We won't go away, we won't be silent.

I thought the message was to the general population??? I thought we were trying to expose Hitlary for what she really is???? My bad....so all you care about is if SHE gets the message??? The rest of the undecided voting citizens that might see the way the media portrays this, be damned???? Sounds counter-productive to me....Hitlary KNOWS what/who she is....it's the rest of the world I want to expose her to, so therefore, I protest with the rest of the world as my audiance and not some lying loathsome radical left wing commie live in a fantasy world power hungry money grabbing calling her a snake or witch would be too good for her "senator". See my point????

Who are you trying to get your message to??? The voters or "Senator Hitlary"???

And if you would have read further posts, I clarified myself to say that I'm not picking on your for doing so...but if you know the "boot licking Press" will always put you in the worst possible light, why give them further fuel for the fire???? That makes about as much sense as a teenager who says "I'm already in trouble for being out late after my curfew, let me stay out a few hours longer" or the argument of "Everyone hates us anyhow, let's REALLY make them hate us". *shrugs*

The message you are sending with your costumes is hysterical, the irony is, the only peole that find the humor and wit in it are not the people you want to discover the truth.

It's nothing more than grand-standing for your own "peers". If that's all you want to accomplish by it, go right ahead. I don't think less of you for doing it, I was meerly trying to point out how it is protrayed in the media and to the "non political" people you are trying to win to our side.

It's no wonder well over half the society doesn't vote....when you have to pick between two apparent radical extremes, it's not a pleasant choice(not how I view all of us, yes, I include myself, it's how the media protrays us..if you'd read my further posts you'd see that I am more than willing to dress up if I thought it'd get the message across to the people I'm trying to reach)

Deal with it.

HMMM...I do....I think it's amusing you all put on those costumes...but, again, see above, I think the point and the messages are missed on anyone but fellow FReepers. Your sharp words are wasted on me, my FRiend, I do accept why you do it. I'm just trying to illustrate how the rest of the world views it. I thought this was a "war" to win more people to OUR side, not to alienate more people from our side???

Did I ask that? Well then that's good; it's a very good question.

My answer was, by seeming to be ruled by intelligence and logic, not emotions and irrational thought ;o)

Hmmm.... I tend to think that in many ways, especially about enonomic issues, we conservatives need to take our logical arguments and tweak it to become more emotionally effective. The best emotions are the rational ones, afterall. ;-) The two were meant to go together, wouldn't you agree, thoughts and feelings?

Thanks to a sharp-eyed Ann Coulter, one Greg Packer has been outed as the media's designated man in the street - a role Mr. Packer has played more than 100 times, Coulter discovered.

His latest assignment for the Times was to be the average man in the street in line waiting to buy Mrs. Clinton's newest work of fiction....

Summer's here and the time is right for freeping in the streets!

Former First Lady, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton ('Rat-NY) will be touring the country this summer promoting her memoirs, Living History.

FReepers from coast to coast will have the opportunity to exercise their First Amendment rights to peaceably assemble and freep her like a rented mule...

I personally **LOVE** the idea of FReepers - all across the USA - dressing up as "GHOST writers" to greet the junior Senator from New York - at EVERY book-signing, in EVERY city, all across the US - to stress the message that Hillary did NOT write this book of lies all by herself...
Perhaps she had help from the GHOSTS of:

- Joe Isuzu, or

What say YOU?

But, the more I think about my Pooh Bear costume...it might be the perfect costume on so many levels....representing "fantasy/fiction" (where Hitlary's book belongs) and a "big POOH" (which everything she writes is a big pile of!)...of course, the twisted & intelligent line of thinking on that one would DEFINITELY be lost on the majority of the uneducated left. ;o)

This article appeared in the Washington Times today on page 4. It is accompanied by a photo of the guy in the devil costume and clearly shows his sign: HILLARY, NO PARDON ON OUR DEAL! The message was hard to miss.

The DC Chapter protest garnered the first five paragraphs of the article and one of the last three paragraphs where the devil's other message was reported: I SOLD MY SOUL TO HILLARY. We got our points across.

The protesting left used to own the streets and the use of street theatre tactics. We have been using costumes, wit, sarcasm, chants, facts, and spirited debates effectively since 1998. When those on the left can't fight the facts and win debates, they always fall back on insults, curses, hand gestures and the politics of personal destruction against their perceived enemies or opponents.

I don't believe those on the left really think we look silly or stupid; I do believe that they are furious that we are using their tactics to such advantage against them while being effective and having a great deal of fun at the same time.

Frankly, I'd rather walk three blocks up the street and see the Cubs than see Hillary, too.

Any extra tickets?
