Prayer Request for FReeper MyFavoriteHeadache

Doug "MyFavorteHeadache" Maher called me from the hospital tonight. He was experiencing back and chest pain today and decided to have it checked out.... turns out that he has a blood clot in his lung that could possibly move to his heart. They have him all tubed up with all kinds of drugs and blood thinners, and he's understandably a bit shook up as this is the same affliction that killed his dad at the age of 37. He'll probably be on blood thinners for he rest of his life.

For those who don't know Doug, he's a great guy all around. We're in a local organization together but our activism goes back several years.

The above pic (that's Doug on the left about to shove his sign up the stinky Rat's a$$) was taken in West Palm during the near riots of the 2000 elections, when we (and several other FReepers) nearly had our heads handed to us by angry Rats. This photo wound up on the front page of the NY Times, NY post, Stars and Stripes just to name a few. It was also featured on a 2 page spread in USA Today and was in numerous papers around the world. I happend to pull this one off the Chandigarth Tribune in India, where it's still up to this day.

As I said, Doug is a great guy and an A+ American. Say a prayer for him, even though I know God is going to take good care of him.

Update bump. What great news! The Lord's not done with you yet, Doug. So follow doctor's orders, take it easy, and let Him guide your recovery.

**As an aside, I'll be sure to direct him to Sevenofnine's posts #83 and 85 where she mentions something about Doug getting a "rack" in both posts. If she's anything like the Seven of Nine in Star Trek, I assure you Doug will be making an most speedy recovery. **

MFH, well, now that I now you are "Doug" and see a photo of you, I can stop confusing you with the guy you always tell me you look like. :)

Good think you found out soon enough that you needed medical help. I hope you have a speedy recovery and will send some prayers your way.
