I want to send thanks out to all at FR who sent prayers and other words of support and comfort to me. My Dad was the greatest man I'll ever know. A patriot who served first as a fighter pilot in the 1950's, the pilot of the C-119's and later C-130's, he was honored at Ft. Snelling national ceremony.
Your prayers and well-wishes were helpful to me,and my mom saw some of your responses on the prayer thread and was very touched. Your expressions of faith and prayers, I'm convinced, have kept me strong (from collapsing ).

To: All
I don't know the individual faiths of those who have died or those that have lost loved ones who have died (and will die) serving the US of A, however, the Christian Scriptures do teach that we will both see and recognize our loved ones after this fleshly life passes and we pass on to our eternal lives. Death is not an ending, but is a continuation of our life-a better life-an eternal life.
The men and women who have have died and those that have sacrificed their loved ones for me, mine, yours and my country will always be my very very great heroes.
I am so very proud and so deeply, deeply thankful to those that served (and those who still serve) and those that sacrifice (and will sacrifice)so that they can serve. Especially thankful am I to those and have given their absolute all, their utmost, for me, for mine and for the country I love beyond all others. I will NEVER, EVER forget! God Bless you greatly.

Thanks. Dad hadn't been saluted for 20 years until this week. I'm sure he appreciated that. I do also. Bless you.

Most welcome.
I long for the soon coming day when we'll all be beyond this veil of tears and reunited with our Loved ones and touching face to face with our Lord.
IT still boggles my mind a bit that He wants us there more than we want to be there.
Blessings, Peace, Rest, Wholeness to you and yours,

So sorry for your loss. It is our loss too, as your dad served this nation giving of himself for our freedom. Think of the reunion going on in Heaven now with all of the old buddies who have gone before him. He has joy and peace now, and you will see him again one day.
