That's not surprising considering his career before politics.

Debka reports:
Al Hayat: Saddam vows never to be caught alive or let his body be displayed. In low spirits, he wears two bomb-belts day and night and keeps on the move. He took part in April 7 battle for Baghdad airport, was wounded in left shoulder.
More than 170 suspected Saddam loyalists detained in Iraq Tuesday in scores of American raids which Washington believes are closing in on deposed Iraqi ruler

They should make sure that the troops that find Saddam, have plenty of cameras to get him exploding in live action if possible. His fellow Arab cowards can then enjoy watching Saddam exploding to pieces over and over again on the television.
Maybe the Arab cowards will then realize the full stupidity of what they have been fighting for. The real shame is that the Iraq people will not be able to drag his complete body through the streets by a rope around his neck and beat him with their shoes and dance on his dead body. That would be so much better than the statue they tore down.
Of course we know that Saddam Hussein is such a coward that he will never allow someone to capture him alive so that he would have to suffer like so many others who suffered at his cowardly insane hands.

I'd say he's pretty damn smart from a tactical sense if you ask me, although in a very sick and demented way. Wearing that explosives belt will automatically do 1 of 2 things for him.
1.) Wearing the belt will cause our troops to be very careful how they approach him trying to kill him before he blows himself up so they will have proof for the Iraqi people that he is in fact dead. Which in essence will put them in more danger and open to sniper attacks from anyone traveling with him that is on watch.
2.) He detonates the belt killing himself but not leaving behind any visible proof that it was in fact him (Iraqi's are not gonna believe DNA results from us). Then most likely he will have a stash of pre recorded tapes that will be left behind and sent in to arab tv stations over a period of weeks and months to give the effect that he is still in fact alive.
Remember this sorry prick has tortured these people for a very long time and they are very afraid of him. I remember something in another thread about some believing he has magical powers (while some scoff at that thinking these people who believe that are wacko I say given the power he had and the terror he reigned upon them I can understand the belief they have in that).
I hope the troops are able to get him before he is able to detonate that belt. Cause things are not gonna go well for the troops if he can't be identified and shown to the Iraqi people. But what worries me most is what will happen to the troops cause that may leave an opening for more attacks if we can't prove he is dead and more tapes come out.
That's my thought's anyway...

I remember seeing this story in this forum several weeks ago. It must be that the old story is getting a new attention.

Taking him alive is only going to cause us more headaches. I can hear the frogs and bucketheads calling for a trial at the hague right now. The sooner we find him and send him to meet allah in hell, the better.
