Marilyn Manson has a foetus in a jar on his coffee table. The unborn baby is preserved in formaldehyde and takes pride of place in the crazy rocker's living room. The eccentric singer's girlfriend, fetish artist Dita Von Teese, gave him the child as a gift. He said: "I have a beautiful morbid gift from Dita - it's an unborn child in a jar. I called it Ludwig Von Manson."
a lyric from one of his songs:
"Disposable Teens" has a line in it that goes something like, "I'm a teen distortion, survived abortion..."
Don't let your children listen to hard rock, rapper Eminem or watch MTV.

WTF or WTFO.
Abbreviation of the term: "What the #%&@?"
or
"What the #%&@, over.", commonly used in the military.

How can I teach them? I don't own a gun. I don't think I could handle one around the house.

I think he's a closet conservative, or will be a full fledged conservative one day. While he rants against Bush in some of his songs, I'd bet he did not vote for Gore.
I found it humorous that so many folks here on this forum rant and rave against the culture of Political Correctness that has permemated American popular entertainment, yet when someone like Eminem comes along and is openly hostile to this PC culture, he is dismissed as a product of the liberal left out to poison the minds of our children.

Being the armed women's advocate that I am, I just had to "pull your chain" - LOL!
Bow and Arrow? Cool! Works for Ted Nugent and his wife!

I don't think it is much of a chain pull actually. I really don't think it is a good idea for my kids to grow up with this 'phoebia' I have. I never really thought much of it until the recent events from 2001 on.

Now, if there was just a way to pickle ol' Marilyn, and put HIM in a jar.........better world, and all that jazz.

Not suprising. Manson is all image and no talent. At least Ozzy had songs people actually liked. This guy must keep doing sicker and sicker things as a means of selling records, because his music just plain sucks. You said it! Ozzy is a horrible singer, but he is always backed up by a top-notch guitar player (Tony Iommi, Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, Zakk Wylde, etc.). IMHO, other shock artists like Alice Cooper, KISS and Twisted Sister are 70% this-will-freak-out-your-folks and 30% band.
Manson? His ratio is 90%/10%. There is absolutely NOTHING there but hype and gore.

Holy cow...why does such a beautiful exterior have to hide a brain that thinks there's something amusing about aborted fetuses?

Find a range that gives instruction to newbies and do yourself a favor and go.
I never thought I had in me either. Women are supposed to be nurturers, not killers, right? A bad personal experience changed my mind. I now have a CCW and carry everywhere I go that's "legal." I have had professional, NRA training and .45MAN and I go to the range often to practice.
It's amazing the strength one finds in oneself when necessary.
OK, down off my soapbox. Any time you'd like any additional info, including details on personal experiences, feel free to FReepmail me. Have a great evening!

I became aware of Eminem when I saw a video in which he mocked Slick unmercifully. I think it was "My Name is Slim Shady" although I could be wrong since I'm not really a fan.
You're right he does have talent although he seems a few problems on the emotional side, as well.
