New poll shows Americans oppose gay civil unions 58%-37%

A poll just released by the Washington Post finds that support for gay civil unions is dropping fast, let alone gay marriage.

The poll asks the question: "Would you favor or oppose a law that would allow homosexual couples to legally form civil unions, giving them some of the legal rights of married couples?"

58% opposed while 37% were in favor and 5% had no opinion

As homosexuals flaunt their successful infiltration of the Episcopal Church, most Americans aren't amused. Here's the question:

"As you may know, the Episcopal church has given its bishops the option of allowing clergy to bless the committed relationships of gay or lesbian couples. Do you approve or disapprove of this decision?"

60% disapprove while 33% approve and 7% had no opinion

Furthermore, Americans were asked this question: "Now thinking about your own religious faith or denomination, would you approve or disapprove of giving local churches the option of blessing committed relationships of gay or lesbian couples?"

63% said they would disapprove while 31% said they would approve and 6% said they either had no opinion or didn't go to church.

Hmmm. It sounds as if America is not as tolerant as the the homosexual activists have been claiming they are. Indeed, other polls are saying the same thing. I've seen national polls that show opposition to gay marriage as running as high as 66%, but, of course, you generally don't hear about those in the general media. Even the CNN/Time poll that showed Americans opposed gay marriage 60%-33% was dealt with a lick and a promise in the media as reporters were more fascinated with the Pew Research Poll that showed lower opposition to gay rights.

What the pollsters haven't been telling us is that the so-called 'increased acceptance' over the years that Americans have towards gays is very, very shallow. While Americans readily acknowledge the immorality of racism, they simply can't accept that homosexuality is okay. Why? Because America is a religious nation and the Bible specifically and unequivocally condemns this behavior. By contrast, there are no religious justifications for racism (as much as liberals would like to say otherwise).

It sounds like the likes of Howard Dean may need a new line of work.

Funny you should say that! There was a recent editorial in our local paper written by a black women who said she was tired of the gay movement hijacking years of civil rights history.

In addition, the Headmaster of the school I mentioned in the prior post, in trying to show how "sensitive" she is and how much more tolerant those who embrace the homosexual agenda are said to a part,"I don't know why you are so upset. You sin every day. You are a Hispanic married to a white man." Now where is that in the Bible??? Typical liberal.

I cannot imagine that people in general will EVER accept homosexuality as on any kind of par with heterosexuality. I also think it will become less "trendy" and fade from the scene. I think the homosexuals think this too, hence their ever increasing, ever more blatant move at "recruitment".

I saw an interview with a liberal woman on Hannity and Colms who wrote a book about how the Socialists have taken over her party. She admitted to supporting abortion, womans rights, public schools, blah blah blah, etc., but she said her party of liberalism has been highjacked by kooks.
She even said the tolerance for homosexuality is a lie, and that it's all propaganda. It's all just lies and a lot of noise, but extortion is a huge money maker.
That's why they attached themselves to African Americans. They can scream "victim" like the black slaves. They needed to create hate against them to do it, and they did it on purpose, to create their own victimhood even though the propaganda of intense victimhood is a lie. (Most people just tell them to get lost like the beggars on the streets). That way they could scream "victim" like the slaves, and get socialist minded judges to use the Constitutions civil rights laws. Now, using Jessie Jackson as a model, they can use extortion to further the extreme socialist agenda. That's where a lot of their political cash comes from, and no doubt they get cash from those nations who would love to see America fall.
Homosexuals are NOT Americas friends. Marx himself was a homosexual with dreams of a world where young boys were used for mans pleasure, and woman were to be the work force that supported them while they played. He was mentally insane, and the kooks on the extreme left are following him.

I honestly do not think this is the entire explanation. I do not think one has to be a believer, in the Bible, or the Koran, or anything to see homosexuality as a deviency.

I saw a poll (during an abortion issue) that claimed 90% of Americans believe there is a God.
Because of that, it would seem as if most do understand some concept of right and wrong even though they may not practice any type of religion.

That's what my sister used to say....I had the same attitude until advances on my two children were made by a gay friend and co-worker of mine. Never, in a million years would I have expected this of them, I just accidently caught them in the process.

As much as they would love to trust them, parents need to be aware of their gay friends around their children.
