You know, if McC would take on Boxer, it might be worth it. Damn, now I'm torn.

The Survey-USA poll taken Aug. 25th (the most recent poll before this Field Poll) showed that the recall was winning with 65%. So, yes, it looks like support for the recall is slipping, if one can believe the Field Poll.
The Field Poll has a long history of overestimating likely Democrat voters, so it generally skews Left. Meaning that 45% no on recall number is almost certainly a bit lower. I don't know the track record of Survey-USA.

Implicit in the "McClintock can't win" formulation is the assumption that McClintock wouldn't get all the votes now going to Arnold. A fairly safe assumption, and I am a McClintock supporter.

Mcclintock's up to 13%?
At this rate it'll take him 4 months to take the lead. That's much longer than the "vote-for-Mcclintock-even-if-it-means-a-bustamante-win" crowd said it would take.
What gives?

Yes, as an Independent. He said he is doing that because it is a problem beyond dims and pubbies, only an outsider can fix it(paraphrase).Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but even though he's campaigning as an Ind, he'll be listed on the ballot as a Republican, because of his party affiliation...

I've seen the presstitutes label him wiht an "R" and believe the ballot does too.I have no idea about the ballot. I'll give the press a pass on this one, even today he did say that he is a Republican, but running as an Independent. The impression I got was that he's trying to be a hero, it's an ego thing.

unreasonable principles You know, like low taxes, limited government, individual freedom, balanced budgets, racial harmony (54).
Fortunately, Arnold is a lot more open-minded than those fringe types.
To: NYC Republican
I think he is still on the ballot as GOP.

You're right about that. If Cruz wins, I will be leaving CA within the next year. That's a promise. I know so many people who are planning on moving that it's frightening.

From a duplicate thread:
"David Dreier, a GOP Congressman from California who is a representative of the Schwarzenegger campaign, just completed an interview on Chris Matthews' "Hardball."
Apparently there a new Field Poll has been completed, but the results have been embargoed until tomorrow.
However, Dreier spilled the beans and gave away the results of the poll.
When will you guys realize that if THEY tell you something, they do it FOR A REASON.

If you believe Arnold would help Tom run against Boxer, you are incredibly naive as to how CA GOP politics is run these days.
A real conservative will never get an endorsement much less financial support from the CA GOP party leadership or a Gub they foist upon the party members as a "baby step" back to taking control back of the state and its political high offices or legislature.
Sorry to have to break the news to Tony Strickland but .. Good luck .. they'll throw Dreier or Cox up against Boxer, not Darrell or Bill or Tom. Mark my words.
