Jackie-O,you did indeed make that comment. Now,I just want to see what the divers, have brought up, as evidence from the bay.I do!I do!

Sandylapper, it was lead detective Craig Grogan, who said,"He (Scott)can't account for a half roll of chicken wire he owned. He may have used the wire to wrap around Laci's body...." The source, was the May 20th, NE

Hergus, you may very well be right on the meth lab tie in. I believe Scott was involved in drugs also.

Thanks, Mags, you're the best! ;^)

Jackie, I'm with Mags here! We want to see what divers have brought up!

Hergus, I believe there's a drug connection, too. But will they ever tell us? P.S. Love your website! Thanks!

Yes hergus, the meth/biker connection does make some sence to me...alot more than the satanic cult theory.
But I think in the end, evidence will show that Snotty acted alone. Something tells me that this is something obscure that came up, Prosecutors had to follow up and investigate to the fullest, and will be another red herring. But MG will take this and leak it to try and show that Laci did not die by Snott's hands directly. I think at this point he is just trying to keep hime from death row.
I truely think that this report on the biker connection is a direct result of a Defence leak.

Geraldo discussing the conspiracy possibility.
Carrol's atty on- Client wanted to tell the DA what he thought really happened to Laci...came foreward a few short weeks ago.
Says he came foreward now because he went into police custody shortly after the conversation about the Kidnap way back in Oct. Carrol did not become aware that Laci was murdered till June of this year.
LE working on identifying and finding the 2 that were "hired" by Snott. They were hoping that this story would not break till the nazis were apprehended. (MG leak, no doubt IMO)
Saying that Snott met the thugs at a strip club and after some drinking and talking Snot tried to hire them to steal Laci's car.
Commercial.

I hope you all are watching Geraldo now..this is his lead story and it is an interesting discussion.
Even if Snott did hire someone to doo the evil deed, he will still pay with his life.
Carrol's atty says his client is very credible and is being taken very seriously by LE. He ask asked and is being offered notheing for this info, is in jail for driving violation testing positeve for substance, is remaining in jail waiting for wittness protection because he has been attacked twice in connection to being a potential wittness in this case. Told to keep quiet.
Atty wants to know who leaked this story, concerned about client's and his families safety, wants protection from the state.

I watched some of Rita's report tonight. She and Geraldo need to get on the same page. Rita had the lawyer for this guy on her show. The lawyer said the guy was in lockdown until June and did not know about the Peterson case. Rita said he (this guy who's doing the talking) wrote a letter to the DA in June, but it was only checked or followed up quite recently.

That was my exact thought. This has the ring of truth to it. This is the reason that the defense was trying to blame it on that cult with the brown van.

The part that I didn't get was when the lawyer said you know why they took the body to the same place where Scott was fishing.

I took it to mean that Snotty was there with them dumping the body. I don't know why but something tells me that he had the disposal worked out, bucket anchors, tidal research for the area, and the boat that he just bought just a few weeks before the murder. Remember, this Carrol says the solicitaion happened a month before the murder. Snott had alot of time to prepare.

What do you all think (assuming this is true)? a. That these people (Skeeter & Dirty) really did kill her at Scott's request or b. That something went wrong with the plan and Scott did it himself. Given what we know, I tend to lean towards b. Although I remember thinking at the beginning of this case that I didn't think he would be the type to get his hands dirty. In either case (again if true) this goes a long way towards establishing premeditation.

In reguard to you multiple choice;
I'm thinking about the report or leak that vomit on the mop was Laci's, and the GHB mention a few months ago, if it is Laci's and there are traces of GHB, that yes Snott did end up doing it himself. I do agree that didn't seem to be the type to get his hands dirty, so if the deal did go bad and he did have to do it, out of desperation, he may have drugged her to make the deed less "messy"...wouldn't have to look her in the eye.
But then I'm thinking of the rumor/leak that ther were rope marks on one of the kitchen chairs, so maybe these thugs did have access and something went down inside the house.
Either way, Snotty was there.

I forgot about the rumored rope marks! When that came out I was really puzzled as to how and why he would tie her to a chair. Maybe someone else was in the house. It also runs in my mind that at one point the police obliquely referred to others that may be involved. I was thinking of family, like dad or the brothers. Hopefully, we'll know by next week if there's any validity to this story.

I think that Scott is really creepy, I mean sociopathic creepy. He had no real friends in high school, no one remembers him from the semester he spent at Arizona State and the people that remembered him from high school had nothing good to say about him. I don't think that he has any emotions except anger. I think he likes women who pursue him. He said that was how he met Laci. After they were married the roles probably switched and he lost interest. I think that guy is totally narcissistic, much like Clinton.

I just want to find one person who knows anything about Scott's time at Arizona State. I find the fact that he left such a fun school and a golf scholarship for no good reason, very interesting.

Jackie, I heard Geraldo say that JanieP said they were with her in San Diego on the date that the meeting supposedly happened, which Geraldo said was Nov 29, but that's the only time I've heard the date mentioned by anyone.

Not that I believe JP.

This is all starting to make some sense now. The van that these guys drove which is similar to what Geragos was looking for, and someone mentioned the rope marks on the chair.

And I actually have always had trouble thinking that SP could have done this deliberately, was more inclined to think it was an accident that he tried to cover up.

But now this is making a LOT of sense, insurance fraud gone bad, or some other dopey plan that SP thought would bring him some money. Who did he think would pay the ransom though, if it was to be a kidnapping? Laci's parents?

I can't stop thinking of Laci's family, how much worse can it get for them?

Right, and of course, the "wise" Scott should have been on the preset date on the golf course, in full public view instead of alone, fishing in a new, distant location the day it happened....

This "fits" part of what MG wants to use, the tan van, a possible kidnapping, he could even possibly go down the road that Scott only wanted Laci's car stolen, for insurance purpose, he had "no idea" it would go down like this.....

It just seems like MG is prepping for every possible scenario until he knows what is the final nail in the preoverbial coffin in the presentation of the case. He already seems ready to present a defense of "This man is no saint, you don't have to like him, he's played around, he might be spoiled, he might like nice things, etc, but that doesn't mean...."

I cannot wait to learn what the true evidence is, as it appears that MG is really nervous, in my opinion, as I believe the leaks are from the defense side.

Somehow I didn't get this latest ping. I had to search you guys out in the threads to see if you were discussing this latest news. I just got a new computer so I might be mistaken about the above, but I would still like to be on the Laci ping list.

I was wondering, if this is true, if by hiring someone to kill her for him he would still be eligible for the death penalty.

Now, if they killed her, they must have left her in the house. Else why all the bleaching and mopping? And why would Scotty be carrying his poor umbrellas to "safety" on Christmas Eve?

Most likely, it was a Robert Blake thing: he tried to hire them to do it and ended up getting stuck with the deed himself.

To remind you of what was lost, my baby who was born the week Connor should have been, is now sitting up pretty well, laughing a lot, and starting to reach for things in front of him. 7 months is such a delightful age. If only no one of us had ever heard of Laci and she were cuddling her little darling right now. Well, at least she is cuddling him in Heaven. It's up to us down here to see that her killer pays the ultimate price.

Scott had no scholarship to Arizona State, that has been proven to be another lie, he apparently went out there thinking he could do a walk on or something of the sort. The story of the scholarship has been passed around as truth and taken on a life of it's own.

The university has officially gone on the record to state he never had a scholarship and they can find no records for him.

Wow, so he never was a student there, it was all a fraud. He must have told his family and friends that he was going to go to school there and never applied, so when school started in the fall, he just left for Arizona. No wonder he didn't want to talk about it when he came home. Amazing. This guy just gets better and better.

Yes, you're hearing correctly. Rita Cosby was saying last night that there is a convict that has been in lockdown for a considerable amount of time that has claimed to have overheard the plans being made between Scott & these other two characters. I believe I also heard that the convict's story may be valid, as he has been in solitary throughout most of this and has no idea what actually happened to Laci.

Omigosh! Geragos is hanging out with "Charlene" from "The Andy Griffith Show".

I remember when Condit's daughter, who has her father's attitude and her mother's looks, appeared on Larry King during the Chandra Levy story. Larry looked like a cat sitting by a warm stove after having just lapped up a bowl of warm milk. He was almost purring. I thought the old lecher was going to jump over the table and get in Cadee's lap.

How totally nauseating. Geragos and Condit's daughter. Two of my most favorite people.......NOT!

(Assuming a woman could get past Geragos' unfortunate physical appearance--perhaps drawn by visions of a big bank account--how could this hypothetical woman STAND to be married to this jackass, who hangs out with Susan McDougal and now Cadee Condit? And where did the Condits get that name? Did they let a one-year-old name their daughter?)

From the Fox News website:

Peterson Family Disputes Kidnap Plot Report

Sunday, September 21, 2003

The family of Scott Peterson (search) has disputed an inmate's claims that the accused killer plotted the kidnapping of his pregnant wife weeks before she disappeared.

Janey Peterson told Fox News that she was with Scott Peterson and his wife, Laci, in San Diego, Calif., on Nov. 29, the day Cory Lee Carroll claimed he met with her brother-in-law in Fresno. The meeting was detailed in a report published Saturday by the Fresno Bee.

Carroll, a parolee jailed since August after missing a court date, told investigators that he first met Scott Peterson last November at the City Lights strip club in Fresno. After a conversation in which Carroll revealed he had been in prison, Peterson asked for help in finding someone to steal his wife's car as part of an insurance fraud scheme, according to the Bee report.

Carroll told investigators that he was paid $300 to set up a meeting with two men known as Tony, aka "Dirty"; and Anthony, aka "Skeeter"; The men were both members of a neo-Nazi prison gang known as the Nazi Low Riders (search).

Carroll claimed he and the two men met with Peterson in a northeast Fresno restaurant on Nov. 29. The four went on to a nearby motel where the subject of a kidnapping plot came up, the Bee reported.

But Janey Peterson claims she, her husband, and Scott and Laci Peterson (search) were together in San Diego Nov. 29, two days after a baby shower had been held there for the pregnant 27-year-old.

Calling Carroll's claims in the Bee report "all lies"; she told Fox News that it would have been impossible for Scott Peterson to have left San Diego midday, driven more than seven hours to Modesto, dropped his wife and presents off at their home, then have driven another hour-plus to Fresno for the alleged meeting. Peterson said she was trying to confirm the exact time Scott and Laci Peterson left San Diego that day.

Carroll's attorney, Frank Muna, told Fox News that his client disclosed his story only after recognizing Scott Peterson on television after his April arrest for the murders of Laci Peterson and their unborn child, Conner. Muna said he notified law enforcement after his client passed a polygraph test administered by a former Fresno police lieutenant.

Polygraph examinations are not admissible in court. However, a memo summarizing the test obtained by the Bee shows Carroll correctly identified the model of Peterson's Ford F-150 pickup. In addition, the van like the one Dirty and Skeeter owned was described by a witness as having been across the street from Laci Peterson's home the day of her Dec. 24 disappearance. Police have since played down reports of a so-called suspicious van.

Carroll said he walked out of the Nov. 29 meeting for 45 minutes once he heard one of the three men say something about kidnapping. His attorney told Fox News that his client had nothing to gain by coming forward, and hinted that his life may now be in danger as a result.

Investigators would not comment on Carroll's claims to the Bee due to a court-imposed gag order.

The Modesto Bee reported that police divers returned to San Francisco Bay on Friday, where the bodies of Laci and Conner Peterson were discovered ashore in April. A preliminary hearing for Scott Peterson is scheduled for Oct. 20, after a judge granted a six-week continuance earlier this month at the defense's request.

Fox News' Rita Cosby contributed to this report.

I think your theory sounds quite plausible. In fact, I think your theory would be THE theory except for the fact that we've never heard that they found any significant blood evidence in the house! That's the part that always stops me, when I visualize gruesome goings-on in the house.

I mean, he could have drugged her, gotten her into the truck, and driven out in the country and shot her in the head....... no, then the TRUCK would have blood traces in it.... I guess this is why we keep coming back to strangulation as a possible means....

GOOD CATCH, Jackie!! That's right, I had forgotten that! It DOES fit in with this Carroll guy's story!

Thanks for the summaries of Geraldo. I caught the last minute or so of his show and it was driving me crazy!

Hey, isn't it possible that Scott discussed various illegal doings with these scumbags, but maybe later found OTHER scumbags to actually carry out the deed? I mean, if this conversation actually occurred, even if it didn't turn into reality, it still shows Scott's state of mind as of November.

If these people really did kill Laci on Scott's behalf, maybe Scott was out there in the same area where they dumped her so that he could verify that they did "their job". Or maybe Scott is the one who selected the body disposal place, and was leading them to it.
