Evidence from bay prompts speculation in Peterson case

Geraldo says that he just got a call from Jamie Peterson who said that Laci and Snott were wither her on the night that Carrol claims the solicitation occured.

Does anyone know what the exact date was? All I've seen is November.

You are right about the gag applying to any potential wittness..but I have heard that Lee Peterson will be a wittness and he was giving statements to the press after the last hearing.

I forgot about the rumored rope marks! When that came out I was really puzzled as to how and why he would tie her to a chair. Maybe someone else was in the house. It also runs in my mind that at one point the police obliquely referred to others that may be involved. I was thinking of family, like dad or the brothers. Hopefully, we'll know by next week if there's any validity to this story.

But then I'm thinking of the rumor/leak that ther were rope marks on one of the kitchen chairs, so maybe these thugs did have access and something went down inside the house.

That particular "rumor/leak" was published in an NE article, and IIRC, it was before MG was hired.

I keep hearing that the meeting happened about a month before the murder. No exact date was mentioned so I don't know how Jamie can claim that they were with her. Unless I missed a specific date that was mentioned by Carrol's atty.

I think that Scott is really creepy, I mean sociopathic creepy. He had no real friends in high school, no one remembers him from the semester he spent at Arizona State and the people that remembered him from high school had nothing good to say about him. I don't think that he has any emotions except anger. I think he likes women who pursue him. He said that was how he met Laci. After they were married the roles probably switched and he lost interest. I think that guy is totally narcissistic, much like Clinton.

I just want to find one person who knows anything about Scott's time at Arizona State. I find the fact that he left such a fun school and a golf scholarship for no good reason, very interesting.

Jackie, I heard Geraldo say that JanieP said they were with her in San Diego on the date that the meeting supposedly happened, which Geraldo said was Nov 29, but that's the only time I've heard the date mentioned by anyone.

Not that I believe JP.

This is all starting to make some sense now. The van that these guys drove which is similar to what Geragos was looking for, and someone mentioned the rope marks on the chair.

And I actually have always had trouble thinking that SP could have done this deliberately, was more inclined to think it was an accident that he tried to cover up.

But now this is making a LOT of sense, insurance fraud gone bad, or some other dopey plan that SP thought would bring him some money. Who did he think would pay the ransom though, if it was to be a kidnapping? Laci's parents?

I can't stop thinking of Laci's family, how much worse can it get for them?

Right, and of course, the "wise" Scott should have been on the preset date on the golf course, in full public view instead of alone, fishing in a new, distant location the day it happened....

This "fits" part of what MG wants to use, the tan van, a possible kidnapping, he could even possibly go down the road that Scott only wanted Laci's car stolen, for insurance purpose, he had "no idea" it would go down like this.....

It just seems like MG is prepping for every possible scenario until he knows what is the final nail in the preoverbial coffin in the presentation of the case. He already seems ready to present a defense of "This man is no saint, you don't have to like him, he's played around, he might be spoiled, he might like nice things, etc, but that doesn't mean...."

I cannot wait to learn what the true evidence is, as it appears that MG is really nervous, in my opinion, as I believe the leaks are from the defense side.

Somehow I didn't get this latest ping. I had to search you guys out in the threads to see if you were discussing this latest news. I just got a new computer so I might be mistaken about the above, but I would still like to be on the Laci ping list.

I was wondering, if this is true, if by hiring someone to kill her for him he would still be eligible for the death penalty.

Now, if they killed her, they must have left her in the house. Else why all the bleaching and mopping? And why would Scotty be carrying his poor umbrellas to "safety" on Christmas Eve?

Most likely, it was a Robert Blake thing: he tried to hire them to do it and ended up getting stuck with the deed himself.

To remind you of what was lost, my baby who was born the week Connor should have been, is now sitting up pretty well, laughing a lot, and starting to reach for things in front of him. 7 months is such a delightful age. If only no one of us had ever heard of Laci and she were cuddling her little darling right now. Well, at least she is cuddling him in Heaven. It's up to us down here to see that her killer pays the ultimate price.

Scott had no scholarship to Arizona State, that has been proven to be another lie, he apparently went out there thinking he could do a walk on or something of the sort. The story of the scholarship has been passed around as truth and taken on a life of it's own.

The university has officially gone on the record to state he never had a scholarship and they can find no records for him.

Wow, so he never was a student there, it was all a fraud. He must have told his family and friends that he was going to go to school there and never applied, so when school started in the fall, he just left for Arizona. No wonder he didn't want to talk about it when he came home. Amazing. This guy just gets better and better.

Yes, you're hearing correctly. Rita Cosby was saying last night that there is a convict that has been in lockdown for a considerable amount of time that has claimed to have overheard the plans being made between Scott & these other two characters. I believe I also heard that the convict's story may be valid, as he has been in solitary throughout most of this and has no idea what actually happened to Laci.

Yes!! Kim, I caught a mention of this when I flipped to "Geraldo" last night! Of course by the time I got there, Geraldo was wrapping up that story and was moving on to Kobe Bryant! But read Post 72 by RG Spincich.
