Employing his Hollywood celebrity, Arnold Schwarzenegger took his campaign to the talk shows of two of his famous friends Wednesday as he engaged Howard Stern and Larry King in discussions of his personality, entertainment and politics.
His appearances on Stern's morning radio show and King's evening TV show followed a session Monday on Oprah Winfrey's daytime TV program. In completing that three-bagger on the American talk circuit, Schwarzenegger a personal friend of all three hosts who has been a frequent guest on all three shows returned to the familiar territory of celebrity talk, where he has long promoted his movies.
His hourlong appearance on "Larry King" represents easily his longest interview of the campaign.
The interviews came as the Schwarzenegger campaign appears to be pulling back slightly from a recent effort to be more accessible to the political press and is concentrating, instead, on venues where he is assured of a friendly reception.

Yeah. How STUPID of Schwarzenegger, going places where he'll actually be able to talk about what he WANTS to talk about, instead of being ambushed by rapacious, petty, persona-agenda-driver idiots!
What does he think this is, anyway? A POLITICAL CAMPAIGN???
What is he trying to do, anway? WIN???
He'd be SO MUCH SMARTER if he did it the MC TICKTOCK way: spend all his time dividing friends, attacking allies, being a tool for Bustamante, and destroying any chance of a further political career!

Or someone without friends is working hard to make sure he lacks not only friends, but allies as well.
I'm one. Ideologically, I'm in McTickTock's camp. I would probably have voted for him, were this a primary.
Never again, unless he changes. He's lost all my respect. He may check the right position-boxes, but he is no leader. What gain is it if someone brings disgrace on the issues you support by being a wretched, terrible leader with wretched, terrible judgment?
He will fail, but everyone will SAY that the issues failed. (EXAMPLE: the Simon non-campaign.)

Having said that, he is starting to sound petty in his attacks against Arnold. Not a good thing in my book, especially against a fellow Republican. I know Reagan wouldn't exactly be enamored of the guy (Arnold), but I gotta believe that he wouldn't stoop like that against one of his own (Commandment #11)...

(I dont believe in taglines, in fact, this tagline does not exist.)
To: Paradox
Right! And isn't that, if not a paradox, at least an irony? To wit --
ARNOLD is supposed to be the RINO... but ARNOLD is the one running like a REPUBLICAN, and respecting Reagan's so-called Eleventh Commandment!

I just mailed my ballot off. The new polling place had listed "log cabin"...I thought Bustameche was playing a trick on my, but then realized that was a location, not the Log Cabin plank.
Go Arnie.
To: BibChr
President Bush went on Ophrah and Larry King during the election. Nancy Reagan was on Larry King as well.
What is with some of these folks? Arnold is not supposed to go out in public I guess or give an interview without getting McC's approval?
Maybe they are afraid the more the people of California hear him discuss what he can do for California, the residents will decide that Arnold could do more for California than the career politicians!

My honest answer?
From the genuinely hateful, implacable, acidic vitriol, the only thing that would make *some* of these folks happy is for him to die a quick and yet painful, humiliating, public, videotaped death that they can watch over and over.
Extreme statement, I know. On what do I base it? On this.
If Schwarzenegger ever in his life said anything stupid or wrong and he has done all that they quote it over and over with relish, no matter what the subject.
But if Schwarzenegger says anything really sharp, good, on-target, conservative, crucial, vital, and relevant... they say he's a liar, he's a hypocrite, he's a RINO, he's kissing up, don't believe it, he's stupid, he's a Schwarzenkennedy; and then they go back to their library of cut-and-pastes.
In other words, everything he says or does, in their eyes, is an abomination.
I honestly think that if he professed that he had fallen under crushing conviction of sin, had repented, and had believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, some of these folks would find evil, and only evil, in that very act.
I can't remember seeing such over-the-top, mass hatred and malice by professed conservatives.
It isn't a proud moment for us as a movement.

can't remember seeing such over-the-top, mass hatred and malice by professed conservatives.I cannot remember seeing it either and thought we had witnessed it all in 2000! There is not way I thought I would see the venom used by conservatives against the rest of us on here either. Something is wrong and I am not sure what!
I to along with you -- it certainly not a proud moment when you see conservatives outright lie about what is being said by Arnold and spin like DemocRATs!
Keep thinking this is a dry run for the 2004 election on here! If it is, we are at least getting experience at posting facts against lies!
