Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?

We are just so despondent and don't know what to do to save this disabled person. And I wasn't particularly supportive of the Americans with Disabilities Act when the first President Bush signed it into law in 1990, the year Terri collapsed. Evidently, this law has no real teeth and was a "feel-good" PR type of legislation. Even the president's son Jeb (nor G.W. Bush for that matter)ever mentions it in regard to Terri or in any other context.

He doesn't want to divorce her. He would be liable for splitting up whatever "assets" that were there during the marriage, including any he has gained while Terri has been incapacitated. Then there's the alimony he'd have to pay, too. All that, plus Terri would continue to live! If she ever gets any better, she might be able to tell what really happened that night she collapsed. He also had a terrible falling out with Terri's family after they found out what kind of son-in-law he really was. He doesn't want them to get any satisfaction from knowing that justice was served for Terri. No, he'd rather condemn her to a death by dehydration and starvation than have ANY of these alternatives!

To add further insult to injury, he already has another "wife" with whom he has fathered two children, one already here and the other on the way. This would totally put him in a financial bind, I'm sure. Paying the consequences for poor choices just isn't up his alley. Lovely, thoughtful guy, isn't he? Should be nominated for "Husband of the Year" (sarcasm)!

We are all hoping that the more attention we can bring to Terri's unjust situation, the louder we will get, the better we can make our world. Terri's life is on the line, but if you read further about this on the monster thread, you will soon realize that there are a thousand more Terri's out there. There is a strong euthanasia movement that has been working toward this end for many years and most of us are just now waking up to this fact. If we can help in some way for Terri to win any of these court battles, it will be legal precedent that might help any one of us in the future. The way I and many others see it, any of us are only a car (or other) accident away from being in Terri's situation.

BTW, for any and all newcomers to Terri's fight, we appreciate your support. Phenn, one of the FR posters on this thread, is actually one of the people who works at terrisfight.org. She is very knowledgeable about Terri's current situation, so she is an excellent resource. We appreciate her coming on to FR and posting her thoughts for us.

Hello everyone.

I just learned of Terri's case about two weeks ago while listening to the Glenn Beck radio program. I was shocked and appalled to learn of the heinous and criminal things that are happening to Terri Schindler Schiavo and her family.

I want to know if a benefit concert has been discussed for Terri? We would need a BIG, BIG name, like a Michael W. Smith or an Amy Grant to get on board and passionately fight for this cause. I am willing to put up a significant contribution for this cause.

Who is in charge of rallies for Terri in the St. Petersburg, Florida area?

To save Terri's life WE MUST GET THE EYES OF OUR NATION ON ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA, ASAP! This may be long shot, especially at this late stage in the game, but we must pull out all of the stops in order to help save her!

I live in Savannah, Georgia and I am literally telling EVERYONE I know about this case. I am making 1000 copies of the fliers from Terri's web site and will distribute them over the next two weeks. I am meeting with and calling pastors, priests, church leaders, businessmen, organizations, radio stations, famous celebrites, athletes, news journalists, basically, everyone. I am sending emails, faxes, making phone calls, and writing hand written notes to some of them.

Every person who's name is on Terri's flier must be flooded with phone calls, faxes, and emails from now at least until October 15, 2003.

I am from Georgia, a border state of Florida, and few people that I talk to are actually familiar with Terri's case and are hearing the details of this case for the first time from me. I have spoken to the offices of two US Congressional Representatives here in my hometown and both secretaries I spoke with were not familiar with this case and assured me they would promptly notify the congressmen.

Please, someone let me know when the rallies for Terri will begin. I am going to be there and hope to bring several friends with me.

I added more than just one topic when I started this pt 2 thread yet it only says Activism/Chapters;US:Florida, I clicked to add a topic but it wants me to type something. What can I do? I also typed more than a few keyboards and the ones that were more than one word were put together. I would like for some more topics to add as I was of the opinion that Terri's fight would include all the states and even other parts of the world, etc. and covered other topics besides activism. Please help me with topics and keywords.

No, these young women today make up their own minds about husbands. The advice of parents is not sought nor considered by many of them. Apparently, the Schindler had no early objections to Schiavo, as they signed over for him to be guardian. Yet, I don't know if they had much alternative to signing those papers back in 1990 or 1991. The signing may have been a mere formality and an attempt by the poor Schindlers to get along with him.

The Schindlers were sheep being led to the slaughter. They had no idea that their troubles were only beginning when Terri collapsed in 1990. I honestly do not see how this family has persevered through so much for so long with so few able to help them. They have devoted much time visiting Terri in the nursing home and hospice, and yet they can't lift a spoon to her lips. They have the indignity of being searched before entering the room. Terri takes up all of their time, and there is no rest for the weary. They must have supernatural help to persevere.

Very often young women will chose "monsters" thinking that they can "reform" them only to find that the monster rears his head to devour the young women. It's a tragedy that so many young women today cannot find or select suitable husbands.

And there are also young men who cannot find suitable wives because many of the women are looking for the wrong values in a husband. With the possibility of divorce seemingly nearly always present in new marriages, both sexes seem to be making a lot of mistakes in selecting mates.

Let's say we can agree that the Schiavos were not a match made in heaven even if the early years went well. This was a marriage headed to tragic consequences, and perhaps no one foresaw this early on.

I am referring to Michael Schiavo as a sadistic monster. He is cut from the same cloth as Scott "George Tiller" Peterson who is awaiting trial for the murder of his wife Laci and unborn son, Conner.

Why won't they defend a defenseless woman against brutal barbaric bastards, like Michael Schiavo, Judge George Greer, George Felos, and Michael's hand picked physician to assess Terri's condition?

Did anyone hear Glenn Beck talk about this case on his radio program about two weeks ago? He gave a rivetting and emotional account of the case.

I presently have an active thread on the SavannahNOW forum here in town, pleading for everyone's help. I am on the Ann Coulter forum and will start a thread there as well. Does the Tampa/St. Pete news have an online forum? Are there any other forums that we need to join in order to post threads about Terri?

We must get things planned for an organized rally and/or concert IMMEDIATELY because October 15 will be here in a flash.

Please email me with those key names and contact numbers. It is important that we coordinate our efforts so that we maximize the little amount of time that we have to save Terri.

I have not seen M. Schiavo in a TV appearance, but I understand that he makes appearances for the euthanasia movement. He claims that he is carrying out Terri's wishes to "die with dignity." I bet he would change his mind if it were he who were disabled. Ditto for George W. Greer and George J. Felos.
