This is a huge blow to McClintock.

How? Do you think normal Republicans are mindless enough to let the party decide their candidate for them? I guarantee you McClintock stays where he is now in the polls or rises.

Shall I feign surprise?

No sweetie, you should accept defeat and be a good sport. ;-)

What a bunch of RINO's </sarcasm

I'm sorry, but I've been called a RINO for so many weeks I just had to do that. Call it comic relief. (No offense meant to anyone).

Just a HUMOR break!!

Wishing us ALL "good luck" in this election..in that we REALLY need California to HAVE some!! We NEED CHANGE and to get rid of all this madness.

We just got our license renewal for a DIESEL VW Beetle that gets 45 miles to a gallon (hwy) and it was like 450 dollars!!! It is due in November. Maybe it won't be necessary. Lets hope!

Here is an absolute "must read" e-mail from Haynes.

Haynes Endorses the Recall

"The serious question was whether the recall would qualify. I talked with a number of people trying to find the money to get it qualified, and ultimately, was one of the people who helped persuade Darrell Issa to put up the money to qualify it (not the only one, and I didn't have to work real hard, he wanted the recall to succeed, for the credibility of the party).

Tom was not at those meetings, and Darrell asked me what I thought Tom would do if he financed the recall. I told him I didn't know, but Darrell would have a persuading argument to ask him to step aside, since Tom could not have made it work without Darrell's help.

I know Darrell talked to Tom about not running. Tom ultimately decided not to reconsider. Issa is a strong conservative, and was, more than any other, responsible for the success of the recall, but Tom's believed he should be Governor.

That was one of the principal reasons (though not the only one) Darrell chose not to run. We lost a solid conservative, who could have financed his own campaign, and got a solid conservative who could not, because Tom believed he was entitled to the Governor's office. This is not a battle over personality; it is a battle over principle. I believe the principles we believe in lost when Darrell pulled out, and they lost because Tom would not even consider anything other than his personal campaign for Governor. We will not advance principle as long as personality trumps principle in these types of disputes. It is history now, but it did play a role in my decision, because I believed I had found the perfect meshing of principle and practicality in Darrell Issa, and the conservative movement lost.

Like I said a few months (or years?) ago, whenever Clinton campaigns for someone, they will lose! Like Davis, like BusaMecha...

So you think it would be better to have Mr. Bustthebudget run California? One Question, WHY?

There are only two people that have a chance to be the next Gov. of the land of fruits and nuts, Your guy, Cruz, or Arnold?

Lets be honest, you McClintock "in it to the end" folks like to lose. Winning and that means ruling, isn`t important to you. Lot more fun to lose and then complain that othersin the party aren`t as pure of thought as you. So sad.

No, I won't complain if Schwarzenegger gets elected. I'll give him an opportunity to show what he can do and hope for the best.

And "pure of thought" has nothing to do with anything. We just have a difference of opinion. You support the pro-choice, pro-illegal alien, pro-gun control movie star, and I support the conservative Republican who has been relentlessly battling the scumbag Democrats for 20 years. It's just a difference of opinion, nothing more. Good luck.
